Zac Efron opened up in a confessional new interview.

The 36-year-old Iron Claw actor sat down for a conversation with Variety. During it, he touched on a range of topics.

He spoke about the loss of Friends icon, Matthew Perry, who he shared the screen with in 17 Again. Zac also revealed that he is in regular contact with three fellow actors, and the list was a little surprising.

On the topic of Iron Claw, the movie star spoke candidly about transforming his body to play a professional wrestler. He also explained how his process was different after the dramatic and “stupid” process of toning up for his movie Baywatch.

Zac even shared some advice that he wishes he could give his younger self. What would he tell the star who became a household name after High School Musical took off?

Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White were joined by some wrestling legends at the L.A. premiere of their new indie movie The Iron Claw!

The actors walked the red carpet together for the event on Monday night (December 11) at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles.

Zac was seen posing with the film’s subject, wrestler Kevin Von Erich, as well as WWE’s John Cena.

Also in attendance were co-stars Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, Stanley Simons, and writer and director Sean Durkin. Zac‘s brother Dylan Efron was also there.

Earlier in the day, Zac got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he had some famous friends in the crowd for the special occasion.

The 36-year-old actor received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday afternoon (December 11) in Hollywood, Calif.

Supporting Zac at the ceremony were his longtime friends Miles Teller and wife Keleigh along with his The Iron Claw co-star Jeremy Allen White and director Sean Durkin.

Zac‘s brother Dylan Efron and their parents Starla Baskett and David Efron were also in attendance.

In his acceptance speech, Zac honored his late 17 Again co-star Matthew Perry and gave a sweet shout-out to his breakout role in High School Musical.

Zac, 36, signed a bunch of autographs as he arrived at a special screening of his new movie The Iron Claw alongside co-star Jeremy Allen White on Sunday night (November 26) in Los Angeles.

The new movie tells the true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

In a recent interview, Zac and Jeremy, 32, talked about dieting and learning how the wrestle for the movie.

The Iron Claw hits theaters on theaters on December 22, 2023. Watch the trailer here!

Zac Efron is looking back at filming The Iron Claw.

While promoting his new movie at a press event in Texas, the 36-year-old actor was asked what was “the biggest injury” he suffered while playing real-life pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich.

Zac then admitted that he didn’t face any serious physical injuries, but rather “probably an ego one.”
