Ariana DeBose to Host Tony Awards 2023, Show Producers Joke About BAFTAs Rap

Ariana DeBose has been set as the host of the 2023 Tony Awards, marking her second year in a row hosting Broadway’s biggest night.

The Oscar-winning and Tony-nominated actress will host the show live from the United Palace Theatre in New York City’s Washington Heights. The show will air on CBS on Sunday, June 11 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.

“I was honored to serve as host last year and even more so to be asked back! So looking forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make the work happen. Here’s to adding some uptown flavor to the magic of the Tony Awards!” Ariana said in a statement.

The executive producers of the show joked about Ariana‘s BAFTAs rap in their statement.
