George Clooney poses with Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff (Kamala Harris‘ husband) while touring the Edward Roybal Learning Center on Monday (January 9) in Los Angeles.

The event was also attended by fellow celebrities Don Cheadle and Mindy Kaling.

George and others in attendance participated in a roundtable conversation with students and some of the school’s educators.

In an interview with ABC7, Doug opened up about the importance of diversity in the entertainment industry.

“We need to have more diversity in production and this program at Roybal is doing just that, training this next generation of film crews, which traditionally has not reflected our community,” he said.

He also promised more moves to provide mental health assistance in schools.

George was one of five honorees at the Kennedy Center Honors in December 2022. Check out pics from the event here.

Bette‘s daughter Sophie Von Haselberg, as well as choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and his wife, Elly; Lisa Mordente, Chita Rivera, Debbie Allen, Beanie Feldstein, Herbie Hancock, Goldie Hawn, Kelli O’Hara, Ellie Goulding, Renee Fleming, Tiler Peck, Barbara Hershey, Cameron Crowe, Brandi Carlile, and Catherine Shepherd were also at the event this evening.

The first – President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden – and second – Kamala Harris and Douglas Emhoff – families were also in attendance at the gala event following a short award ceremony earlier in the day.

Vice President Elect Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama shared a super sweet moment at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday (January 20) ahead of the 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The pair, and their spouses Michelle Obama and Douglas Emhoff, were seen sharing a moment ahead of the swearing in. The moment was caught on video with the former President seemingly telling the Vice President Elect, “so proud of you.” The moment is going viral.

The Vice President Elect is making history today as the first female, first African American and first Asian American Vice President in United States history.

President Elect Joe Biden, who will become President shortly, future First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Elect Kamala Harris, and her husband Douglas Emhoff attend services at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle on Inauguration Day (January 20) in Washington, DC.

The Vice President Elect chose to wear Christopher John Rogers and Sergio Hudson for her Inauguration Day look. Christopher is a young black designer hailing from Baton Rouge and currently based in New York City. Sergio is a black designer who is originally from South Carolina.

Dr. Jill Biden is in a Markarian matching coat and dress set. Joe Biden is wearing Ralph Lauren.

Joe Biden holds hands with wife Dr. Jill Biden as they attend the lighting event along the National Mall on Tuesday evening (January 19) in Washington, D.C.

The President-Elect and First Lady-Elect were joined by Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris and her husband, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, for the ceremony, which honored the 400,000 American victims of the coronavirus pandemic at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Ahead of Biden‘s inauguration tomorrow, the group took time out to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in the past year of the pandemic. In addition to the lights, 200,000 small flags were also installed to honor the victims of COVID-19.

The Capitol has also been given a patriotic makeover before the big event this week, as American flags were placed around the buildings of importance, including the National Mall, Capitol buildings and more.

Just the day before, Biden and Kamala were seen volunteering at the Philabundance food bank in Philadelphia, by filling up donation food boxes.

Kamala Harris is sharing some brand new details about her relationship with husband Doug Emhoff!

In a new interview with CBS News’ Sunday Morning on Sunday (January 17), the 56-year-old Vice President-Elect admitted she Googled the 56-year-old entertainment lawyer before their first date.

“I did!” Kamala said with a laugh, while a totally shocked Doug responded, “Oh. This is a reveal!”

“So, yes, my best friend set us up on a blind date,” Kamala explained. “And she said, ‘Just trust me. Just trust me.’ You know, she wanted me to just kind of go into it, and she said, ‘Don’t Google him.’ I did!”

While looking back, Doug recalled being at a Lakers game with a friend when he first texted Kamala, before giving her a call in the morning.

“I left this ridiculous voicemail, which she has saved and plays back to me on our anniversary every year,” Doug said. “I thought I’d never hear from her again, but …”

“But it was just, it was adorable,” Kamala said. “And it was just, I mean, the thing about Doug is that he is exactly who he is. He’s just fully authentic and clear about the things he cares about. And it’s family, it’s his work …”

“You,” Doug said to Kamala with a smile.

Kamala and Doug married in 2014 one year after being set up on their blind date. Kamala is step-mom to Doug‘s kids Cole and Ella.

The couple will make history on Wednesday, January 20th when Kamala is sworn in as the first female Vice President, while Doug will be named the country’s first Second Gentleman.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are celebrating their historic win in Delaware!

The President-Elect and Vice President-Elect took to the stage to give victory speeches after winning the 2020 Election on Saturday night (November 7) in Wilmington, Delaware.

First up, Kamala spoke to supporters, while acknowledging that she is the first woman, and person of color, to hold the position of Vice President.

“But while I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last,” Kamala said. “Because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities and to the children of our country regardless of your gender, our country has sent you a clear message: dream with ambition, lead with conviction and see yourselves in a way that others may not simply because they’ve never seen it before.”

Joe then took the stage to deliver his own speech, to share a message with those who voted for Donald Trump.

“For all those of you who voted for President Trump, I understand the disappointment tonight. I’ve lost a couple of times myself. But now, let’s give each other a chance,” Joe said. “It’s time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again. And to make progress we have to stop treating our opponents as enemies.”

After their speeches, Joe and Kamala were joined on stage by their families, including Joe‘s wife Dr. Jill Biden and Kamala‘s husband Douglas Emhoff.
