PEN15‘s Anna Konkle and Coming 2 America‘s Jermaine Fowler are starring in a new movie together that will be released on Hulu next month!
The Drop will drop on the streaming service on January 13, 2023.
Here is the film’s synopsis: “Lex (Konkle) and Mani (Fowler) are a happily married young couple, running their dream artisanal bakery in Los Angeles and excited about starting a family together. A trip to a tropical island resort for a friend’s destination wedding, coinciding with Lex’s ovulation cycle, feels like the perfect opportunity to conceive. But good vibes and high hopes are cut short when, shortly after their arrival to paradise, Lex accidentally drops her friend’s (Aparna Nancherla) baby in front of all their friends. Paradise becomes purgatory for our couple as recriminations, passive-aggression and old wounds begin to permeate the island reunion and throw Mani and Lex’s future into deep uncertainty.”

The highly anticipated sequel to the beloved 1988 comedy Coming to America is arriving on Amazon Prime Video on March 5, and a new trailer arrived on Wednesday (February 3).
The movie stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall reprising their roles as Prince Akeem and Semmi. The two actors will also reprise their roles of the My-T-Sharp Barber Shop’s Clarence, Saul and Morris as well as Reverend Brown and Randy Watson, lead singer of the band Sexual Chocolate.
Here’s a plot summary: “In the sequel, directed by Craig Brewer, newly-crowned King Akeem and Semmi embark on a new adventure that has them traversing the globe from Zamunda, back to Queens.”

The 31-year-old Superior Donuts actor will play a lead role alongside the 58-year-old Norbit star in the sequel, Variety reports.
Details about the plot and Jermaine‘s character are still unknown.
The original film, 1988′s Coming to America, starred Eddie Murphy as an extremely pampered African Prince who travels to Queens, New York, and goes undercover to find a wife that he can respect for her intelligence and will. It is unclear whether original cast members Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, and John Amos will return.
Craig Brewer will direct, with plans for an August 7, 2020, release.
