The 23-year-old and 21-year-old women sat down for an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning on Thursday morning (March 7) to discuss the allegations of sexual abuse against the singer, claiming that their parents are just trying to get money.

“Negativity sells, gossip is what sells, rumors are what sell,” said Azriel.

“We’re here to talk about what our parents are doing right now. And what they’re doing right now is all for money,” she added.

R. Kelly sat down for an interview with Gayle as well that aired one day prior (March 6), resulting in an emotional and volatile display by the singer. He has since been taken into custody for failing to pay child support, and was previously charged with ten counts of sexual abuse, which he vehemently denies.

Here’s what the CBS This Morning co-anchor had to say…

On what was going through her head: “I was not scared. I never thought he was going to hit me. After, Oprah [Winfrey] and my kids Kirby and Will called me to ask if I was okay because it looked scary. But I was never worried he was going to hurt me. I was more worried that he was going to get up and leave.”

On keeping her composure: “I just knew that I was never in danger. I did worry at some points that he might accidentally hit me, because he was so angry that he was flailing. But I knew that I wasn’t in any real danger. I just kept thinking ‘Okay, Robert, go ahead’ and that’s what I said.”

On what to expect from the upcoming interviews: “Tomorrow, you’ll see when I interviewed his two girlfriends, Joycelyn and Azriel. And to my surprise, they were very angry. At everyone. They feel that Robert has been maligned, that their own parents are lying…that interview is very eye opening. We also talk about R. Kelly‘s finances, because I wanted to know: How is someone who has made millions of dollars over the years not able to post a $100,000 bond so they don’t have to spend any time in jail? So, yes, we had a lot to discuss, and there’s more coming.”

R. Kelly has been taken into custody following his child support hearing.

The 52-year-old singer arrived at the Daley Center for his hearing on Wednesday (March 6) in Chicago.

He was in court after failing to pay more than $160,000 in child support and is expected to return to jail, CBS Chicago reports.

R. Kelly had been ordered to pay more than $190,000 to his ex-wife, Andrea Lee. They share three children – Joann, 21, Jay, 19, and Robert, 17.

The terms of R. Kelly‘s 2009 divorce require him to pay $20,000 a month in child support, but he stopped making the payments in the spring.

His next hearing is scheduled for March 13.

R. Kelly recently gave his first interview since his recent charges, denying sexual abuse claims.

R. Kelly is speaking out for the first time since his recent sexual abuse charges in an interview with CBS This Morning‘s Gayle King.

The 52-year-old disgraced singer denied claims that he had sexual relations with underage girls and teared up when he said he was “fighting” for his life.

When asked if he’s been with underage girls, R. Kelly brought up the past cases where he was acquitted.

“I beat my case. When you beat something, you beat it… You can’t double-jeopardy me like that. You can’t. It’s not fair. It’s not fair to nobody. When you beat your case, you beat your case,” he said. When Gayle asked about the other cases, he said, “Not true. Whether they’re old rumors, new rumors, future rumors, not true.”

He was then asked if he’s ever held anybody against their will.

“I don’t need to. Why would I? How stupid would it be for R. Kelly, with all I’ve been through in my way, way past, to hold somebody, let alone 4, 5, 6, 50, you said – how stupid would I be to do that?” he said. “That’s stupid! Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, love me if you want. But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through – oh right now I just think I need to be a monster and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat, don’t let them out, unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle!”

“Stop it. You don’t quit playing. Quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f***ing life!” he added.

The interview will air on CBS This Morning on Wednesday (March 6) and Thursday (March 7).

R. Kelly has been released from police custody.

The 52-year-old disgraced singer was seen making his way through a crowd of photographers on Monday evening (February 25) outside of Cook County jail in Chicago, Ill.

He posted $100 thousand bail bond after spending several days in jail.

R. Kelly was placed under arrest on Friday night (February 22) after he turned himself in to police on ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

According to the report, the victims involved ranged in age from 13 to 16 years old. One of the victims is the subject of four different counts. There are four victims in total.

The charges are considered a Class 2 felony and each charge carries a maximum sentence of three to seven years in prison.
