The concept of the Song of the Summer has become omnipresent in recent years, but Billboard has been tracking the data since 1958.

As the weather heats up outside, many of our favorite artists begin to churn out bops and bangers that rocket up the charts. Each year, only one of them can become the defining anthem of the summer.

Billboard unveiled the Song of the Summer for 2023 on Tuesday (September 5). This year Morgan Wallen‘s “Last Night” took the top spot.

In honor of the announcement, we looked back on Billboard’s charts to determine what song dominated the charts each summer from 2003 until 2023. We even noted the bop that came in second place each year! In the case of 2023, we rounded up the Top 5.

While looking back, we noticed that only three artists in the last 21 years were able to claim the Song of the Summer more than once. Can you guess who?

Billy Ray Cyrus and fiancée Firerose are opening up about their relationship.

If you didn’t know, the 62-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and Firerose first met on set of Hannah Montana over 12 years ago and just started dating within the past few years.

In August 2022, the couple got engaged, but they didn’t publicly announce it until months later in November.

While appearing on Good Morning America on Thursday (August 31), Billy Ray and Firerose shared some rare insight into their romantic and musical relationship.

Photos show that Miley Cyrus was her mom’s maid of honor, and Trace and their sister Brandi Cyrus were also part of the wedding party. However, Tish‘s youngest children Braison and Noah Cyrus skipped the special day, sparking rumors that the family was taking sides after she and Billy Ray Cyrus split.

Sharing a photo with his mom and sisters from the wedding, Trace reflected on the day and his mom’s happiness. His caption also seemingly includes some references to her divorce.

Billy Ray Cyrus is hitting the red carpet with his fiancée Firerose for the very first time.

The engaged couple made their red carpet debut at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Honors held at Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday (August 23) in Nashville, Tenn.

During the event, Billy Ray, 61, and Firerose hit the stage with Travis Denning for a performance.

If you didn’t know, Billy Ray and Firerose met over 12 years ago on the set of Hannah Montana and they started dating shortly after finalizing his divorce from Tish Cyrus in April 2022.

They announced their engagement in November 2022.

Just the other day, Tish, 56, married Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell and while three of her kids attended the wedding, two were noticeably missing.

The 2023 ACM Honors is hosted by Carly Pearce and will air on FOX on Monday, September 18 at 8 pm ET.

Dolly Parton is ready to celebrate Christmas!

The 76-year-old “9 to 5″ music icon is set to host a two-hour holiday film celebrating Christmas on NBC tonight (Thursday, December 1), and there are a lot of special guests getting festive with Dolly.

Here’s a plot summary: Follow Dolly‘s desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique “mountain magic.” Throughout the chaos, Dolly finds herself taking a journey guided by the mysterious appearances of her Three Wise Mountain Men.

The two-hour special will air on NBC and NBC.com on Thursday, December 1 at 8 p.m. ET. The special will also be available to stream live via Peacock, and you can also view it on streaming services like FuboTV, DIRECTV stream, Sling, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV.
