Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean Buddy Up Backstage at CMT Artists of the Year Awards 2017!

Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean mess around with an award backstage during the 2017 CMT Artists of the Year Awards on Wednesday (October 18) at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Jason was joined by his pregnant wife Brittany – who looked stunning in a emerald dress.

Other stars at the event included Chris Stapleton and wife Morgane and Lionel Richie.

The country music stars were joined at the awards event by performances by Little Big Town, Phillip Phillips, Backstreet Boys, Common, and Andra Day.

Some of country music’s biggest stars joined forces tonight for the 2017 CMT Arts of the Year Awards on Wednesday night (October 18) in Nashville, Tenn.

The show started with host Luke Bryan along with Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Chris Stapleton, and Florida Georgia Line‘s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard addressing the recent disasters – including the shooting in Las Vegas – and share an empowering message of unity and strength.

“From Las Vegas to Puerto Rico, from Florida and Texas to Charlottesville and California, the entire nation is trying to process these devastating events,” Chris said. “On this night, one that we usually celebrate a year of music, we also want to celebrate a year of incredible human spirit.”

The recent shooting in Vegas occurred during the Route 91 Harvest Festival earlier this month during Jason‘s performance.

“We dedicate this night to you and to everyone who’s experienced loss or tragedy in the past few months… we will get through this together,” Jason concluded.

Jason Aldean & Wife Brittany Kerr Return to Vegas to Visit Shooting Survivors

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Kerr are back in Las Vegas.

Following Jason‘s emotional performance on Saturday Night Live, the married couple returned to Nevada to visit the site of the horrific mass shooting exactly one week prior that took over fifty lives. Jason was performing when the first shots were fired.

The two visited the University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital, according to The Blast.

“Feels surreal being back in Vegas today. Visiting some of the strongest people we have ever met…fighting the toughest battle of them all…for their lives. You have helped us try to begin the healing process by seeing the strength each one of you have. Thank you for today. We will never forget. #vegasstrong,” Brittany wrote on her Instagram.

Saturday Night Live starts off with a somber moment remembering the victims of the shooting in Las Vegas.

Jason Aldean opened tonight’s episode (October 7) to honor those that died in the shooting.

“When America is at its best, our bond and our spirit, it’s unbreakable,” Jason said.

Jason was performing on stage at the music festival last weekend when a man opened fire from his hotel room, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more.

After speaking, Jason performed Tom Petty‘s song “I Won’t Back Down,” honoring the rocker who passed away this week.

Jason Aldean's Wife Brittany Kerr Shares Harrowing Account of Las Vegas Shooting: 'We Were the Lucky Ones'

Brittany Kerr is speaking out about the horrific Las Vegas shooting on Sunday night (October 1), which occurred while her husband Jason Aldean was performing onstage.

Brittany, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child – a baby boy – reflected on the experience in an emotional post on her Instagram on Wednesday (October 4).

“When the gunfire started, I was not with Jason, but with some friends in a tent closer to Mandalay. As you can imagine my first instinct was to run to him and his was the same. As we laid behind equipment onstage with some of our road family, bullets flying past…all I could think was ‘I never even got to hold my baby,’” she wrote.

“We were the lucky ones. I can’t put into words the pain and heartache we feel for the ones who are no longer with us. May God be with their families and friends during this horrendous time.”

Jason Aldean Cancels Concerts After Las Vegas Shooting

Jason Aldean is putting his shows on hold for the remainder of the week.

The 40-year-old country superstar decided to cancel his concerts out of respect to those who lost their lives in the horrifying Las Vegas shooting that left over fifty people dead on Sunday night (October 1). Jason was onstage performing when the shots first rang out.

“It is the right thing to do. It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost,” Jason said in a statement.

“Our first time back on stage will be a very tough and emotional thing for us, but we will all get through it together and honor the people we lost by doing the only thing we know how to do — play our songs for them.”

The tour will pick up again on October 12 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jason Aldean is safe amid the mass shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday night (October 1, 2017) and a new report details how his tour bus was in the line of fire.

The 40-year-old country singer was on stage performing at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when a gunman starting firing hundreds of rounds from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

58 people are confirmed to have been killed with 515 injured at the time of this posting. The number is sadly expected to continue rising.

Jason‘s band and crew hid behind the equipment once they realized what was happening,” a source told Us Weekly. “The band’s bus was also in line of fire and has bullet holes.”

Jason spoke out earlier this morning in a statement about the tragic shooting.
