Lady Gaga's Dad Deletes Tweet Asking People to Support His Restaurant Workers

Lady Gaga‘s dad Joe Germanotta is the owner of the New York City restaurant Joanne Trattoria and he reportedly asked the public to help support his staff amid the current health crisis.

A GoFundMe page was set up to raise $50,000 to support the staff of the restaurant. Newsweek reports that 30 employees from the restaurant were laid off until they are able to open again.

Joe reportedly tweeted the link to the page and said, “I’m doing the best I can but we had to close Joanne for the month. Our staff needs some help financial. Any help for our employees will be appreciated.”

Since then, the tweet has been deleted and the GoFundMe page has been deactivated.

Earlier this month, Joe said that he’s seen a 70% drop in business during the pandemic, but he plans on supporting the staff. He told Fox Business, “These kids have been with me for eight years … they’re kind of like my children at this point. I intend to keep them on some type of stipend to keep them going.”

Lady Gaga Delays 'Chromatica' Release, Reveals She Was Going to Do Surprise Coachella Set

Lady Gaga has announced that her previously announced album Chromatica will be delayed.

“I wanted to tell you, that after a lot of deliberation, I’ve made the incredibly tough decision to postpone the release of Chromatica. I will announce a new 2020 release date soon,” Gaga posted.

“This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic,” she continued.

Gaga added, “Instead, I prefer that we spend this time focusing on finding solutions. It’s important to me that the attention is on getting essential medical equipment to healthcare professionals, making sure kids who depend on public schools for meals get the assistance they need, and that we help those who will be financially impacted by this pandemic.”

In addition, Gaga revealed she had a lot in store for this year, including a secret Coachella set she had planned. Coachella has since been postponed from April until October.

Gaga concluded her message with a reminder to stay home, and a promise we will all be able to celebrate, “dance together, sweat together, hug and kiss each other, and make it the most bombastic celebration of all time” when the album finally is released.

Gaga is also supposed to be going out on tour in support of her album.

Lady Gaga Bares Everything, Talks About That 'Stupid Love' Leak & Her 'Artpop' Shade!

Lady Gaga is baring everything on the cover of Paper magazine’s newest issue!

The imagery was created through 3D scanning and CGI renderings in collaboration with Belgian artist Frederik Heyman, creative director Nicola Formichetti and Paper’s editorial team.

Here’s what the 33-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag…

On “Stupid Love” leaking early: “There was a minute where me and my manager, Bobby, were talking, ‘Do we change the single?’ We’d just spent months and months developing this video and choreography. And I said, ‘Nope!’ You know why? Because the song, when it’s mixed, mastered and finished with the visuals, and everything I have to say about it — when all those things come together at once, that will be the art piece I’m making. Not a leak.”

On how she really feels about ARTPOP and her famous “I don’t remember ARTPOP” tweet: “I think it’s funny that I’m not allowed to have a sense of humor. The internet is essentially a big joke, but if I tell one everyone freaks out. I don’t regret my art, and I wouldn’t suggest anyone do.”

On the challenge of being happy: “[Happiness] is not that simple. I have clinical depression. There’s something going on in my brain where the dopamine and serotonin are not firing the same way, and I can’t get there. If someone says, ‘Come on, just be happy,’ I’m like, ‘You f*cking be happy.’”
