Jennifer Aniston Hosted a 'Friends' Cast Reunion During the Emmys 2020! (Video)

A Friends cast reunion happened in the middle of the 2020 Emmy Awards!

Host Jimmy Kimmel called into Jennifer Aniston‘s house to check in on her after she left the in-person show to watch the rest of the show from home.

While Jimmy chatted with Jen, her Friends co-star Courteney Cox popped into the camera feed to say hello.

Courteney then said, “We live together,” after Jimmy questioned why she was there. Jen jokingly added, “We’ve been roommates since 1994.”

Seconds later, Lisa Kudrow showed up in the feed and then Jason Bateman, who was also at the Emmys studio earlier in the night, popped in as well. (If you didn’t know, Jen and Jason are longtime friends!)

Earlier in the night, Jennifer put out a fire on stage while presenting one of the first awards of the night!

'Easy A' Turns 10: Look Back at Emma Stone, Taylor Swift, the Jenners, & More at the Premiere!

It has been exactly 10 years since the beloved teen comedy Easy A, starring Emma Stone, hit theaters and we’re taking a look back at the film’s red carpet premiere!

The star-studded event took place on September 13, 2010 at what was then called Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Emma was joined on the red carpet by Taylor Swift, who was one of her best friends at the time. It’s not clear if they are still close pals, but it has been a very long time since we’ve seen them together. (They were at the same event in 2018 and we have pics of Taylor seeing Emma on Broadway in 2014)

Other cast members in attendance at the premiere included Penn Badgley, Aly Michalka, Patricia Clarkson, and Lisa Kudrow. Some special guests who were on the red carpet included Aly‘s sister AJ Michalka, Keke Palmer, Matt Lanter, Jenna Elfman, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Lisa Kudrow Explains Why She Doesn't Watch 'Friends' Reruns

Lisa Kudrow says that she does not watch Friends reruns and she’s opening up about the good reason why she avoids them.

In a new Actors on Actors feature for Variety, Lisa and co-star Jennifer Aniston interviewed each other and talked about working on Friends.

“I don’t watch the show. I’m still not watching it in the hopes that one day we sit down and watch them together,” Lisa said.

Jennifer replied and said, “That’s something that will happen.”

While talking about her time on the show, Lisa said that she has a “commitment issue” following acting on Friends.

“It’s not like, ‘Oh, it was such hard work for 10 years.’ It’s not that. It was that I know that show worked because we all committed to each other too. It wasn’t just committing to a role, committing to a contract. We all still love each other. Our cast is like that, and that’s why that worked. I think part of me died. I can’t do that again,” she said.

Lisa did say there’s one thing that she does like watching when it comes to Friends.

Jennifer Anison & Lisa Kudrow Borrowed This Iconic 'Friends' Line From Matthew Perry

Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow reunited on a virtual call to promote the upcoming Friends reunion and reflect on the hit television series for Variety‘s Actors on Actors feature.

As the two discussed their new projects, Lisa and Jennifer also brought up watching old Friends episodes.

“I love stumbling on a Friends episode,” Jennifer admitted. “This one time I was with Courteney [Cox], and we were trying to find something to reference, an old Friends thing. And then we stumbled on — there’s bloopers online — and we sat there at the computer like two nerds watching these bloopers laughing at ourselves.”

Lisa adds, “I’ve done it too. I’ve done that, hours watching bloopers.”

Lisa also admitted that she borrowed the iconic “My eyes, my eyes” line from Matthew Perry.

“When we’re at Ross’ and we’re seeing Monica and Chandler start undressing each other in front of the window. And then, [I’m like], ‘My eyes! My eyes!’,” she recalled the scene. “That’s how Matthew Perry said things.”

She went on, “I actually asked his permission before we shot it. I was like, ‘I don’t know if you’ve seen the rehearsals, but I’m saying ‘My eyes! My eyes!’ the way you do. So I just need to know that that’s OK with you. If not, I’ll say it a different way.’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, go for it.’”

Jennifer added, “I feel like Matthew required us to ask permission when we borrowed Chandler’s cadence. We were like, ‘But it’s flattering.’ I think it’s going to be really fun also when we, if we ever get out of quarantine, get to do our reunion show.”

Lisa Kudrow Shares Funny Story About This 'Friends' Prop She Was Gifted by Matthew Perry

If you were wondering what happened to the Cookie Time cookie jar that sat on Monica’s kitchen shelf in Friends, Lisa Kudrow has it!

The 56-year-old actress recalled the funny and cute story about the prop that she ultimately was gifted from the set.

“We’re shooting a scene, years before we were finished, and my line was, ‘Oh! I better get going,’ like, ‘Oh! I’m late, I better get going,’” she explained during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week.

However, Lisa realized that she actually didn’t have a watch and the first thing that she could find that kind of had a clock on it was the cookie jar.

“As the words were coming out, I went, ‘Oh, good. There’s a clock,’” Lisa continued. “I gestured to that, and said, ‘Oh! Look at the time. I gotta get going,’ and during shooting, Matthew [Perry] said, ‘Did you look at the cookie jar and say look at the time?’”

Then, when they wrapped the series, Matthew gifted her with the jar, to remember the improvised line.

“I think the first thing I asked was, ‘This was so nice, did you get permission?’ I mean, my car used to get searched every night when I left,” she shared.
