Patrick Dempsey shows off his shaved legs on the cover of Bicycling magazine’s January/February 2013 issue, on newsstands now.

Here’s what the 46-year-old actor had to share:

On how cycling helped him handle becoming the star of his hit show Grey’s Anatomy: “Psychologically, getting back on the bike really helped me. It was hard to weather the success of Grey’s, but I found I could go for a ride and get centered. Cycling also taught me a lot about managing discomfort. When you leave your comfort zone, you learn how to manage your emotions and to stay focused.”

On shaving his legs for cycling: “Yes, leg shaving has done wonders for my riding; now that I’m celibate it’s easier to focus on my training plans. Seriously, I want to ride a century; that’s my goal. My longest ride so far is 75 miles.”

On what his future plans are: “I’d love to open a bike shop in Mailbu that’s a hangout for cyclists. There’s nothing like that out there.”

Neve Campbell is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy this season as one of the sisters to Patrick Dempsey‘s character Derek!

The 39-year-old actress will star in at least two episodes of the show, though it is not clear which of Derek’s four sisters she will play yet, according to TV Line.

We can rule out Amelia and Nancy as they have already made appearances, so it will either be as Kathleen the psychiatrist or the unnamed fourth sister.

Neve and Patrick previously played lovers in Scream 3.

Synopsis: Tripp Kennedy (Dempsey) ambles into a bank near closing time, just as two different gangs unwittingly converge to rob it. A shoot-out erupts, and Tripp tackles the smart, pretty teller, Kaitlin (Judd), to protect her. The gangs, one clearly made up of pros and the other a couple of buffoons named Peanut Butter (Tim Blake Nelson) and Jelly (Pruitt Taylor Vince), have deadlocked themselves in a Mexican standoff. The bank’s security system starts the end-of-day lockdown and seals everyone into the building. As the night evolves, a hilarious game of cat and mouse ensues as Tripp and Kaitlin try to save the day, escape being killed, and avoid falling in love almost.

Flypaper hits theaters Aug. 19 but is out on VOD starting today (July 15)!

Ellen Pompeo and Grey’s Anatomy co-star Patrick Dempsey leave Dan Tana’s after having dinner on Wednesday (July 13) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes recently dispelled rumors that the ABC drama was ending, even though Ellen, 41, and Patrick, 45, have hinted they may not be returning.

“Just for the record: This is not the last season of GA. Definitely. Not,” Shonda tweeted.

“We are NOT adding any more cast members this season. Full house already,” she clarified in another tweet.
