There may not have been a red carpet at the L.A. premiere of Priscilla, but the stars still stepped out in style.

Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny posed for photos from inside the venue during the premiere event at the Academy Museum on Monday (October 16) in Los Angeles.

They were joined by director Sofia Coppola and film subject Priscilla Presley for the premiere.

Last week, A24 announced that the red carpet would be canceled. “Out of respect for the events going on in the world, we will be forgoing a red carpet for the Priscilla Los Angeles premiere,” a rep said.

The Academy Museum also canceled its annual red carpet gala, which was supposed to be held over the weekend.

Priscilla hits theaters on November 3 and a new trailer was recently released.

FYI: Jacob is wearing a Bottega Veneta suit. Priscilla is wearing Dolce&Gabbana.

Sofia Coppola was joined by so many of her celebrity friends to celebrate the launch of her first book, “Sofia Coppola Archive: 1999-2023.”

The acclaimed director was joined by friends and former colleagues like Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst at an intimate dinner hosted by Chanel on Tuesday (September 19) at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Some more celebs who were in attendance included Kirsten‘s husband Jesse Plemons, Priscilla Presley, sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, Rashida Jones, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Anjelica Huston, Paris Hilton, Awkwafina, Alexandra Shipp, and cute couple Olivia Munn and John Mulaney.

The evening ended with a surprise performance from Maya‘s Prince cover band, Princess.

Sofia Coppola is opening up about her first meeting with Priscilla Presley.

If you’re unaware, the 52-year-old filmmaker directed the upcoming Priscilla movie, which stars Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi. It just premiered during the Venice Film Festival.

Jacob Elordi towers over Cailee Spaeny at the premiere of Priscilla during the 2023 Venice Film Festival.

The two stars met up with their director, Sofia Coppola, as well as Priscilla Presley on the red carpet on Monday (September 4).

The four walked the red carpet together just a few hours after speaking to reporters about the movie during a press conference and photo call.

“It’s very difficult to sit and watch a film about you and about your life and about your love,” Priscilla admitted during the morning event (via Deadline). “Sofia did an amazing job, she did her homework… And I really put everything out for her that I could.”

Cailee also called playing the part of a young Priscilla very “daunting.”

“I got very lucky to have some time with Priscilla. She was very generous with her time and very kind to me and supportive,” she added.

Jacob also got to open up at the press conference, sharing that you could feel the love between Elvis and Priscilla as they filmed the movie.

“The most impressive things to me is the scale of this love and the power of this love,” he said. “Even to this day even though he’s not here, when you talk to Priscilla you can still feel the love. It’s true and it’s undying and it’s just beautiful… It’s this tether that ties two people together and I think that’s for eternity.”

There have been rumors swirling all year long that Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough were in a feud over the handling of Lisa Marie Presley‘s estate, but now the matriarch is speaking out to clear things up.

Back in January, Priscilla took steps to assume control over Lisa Marie‘s estate and she questioned a document that gave control to Riley.

Their argument over the estate was settled in May and then Priscilla revealed details of their agreement back in June.

Riley was named the “heir” to the estate and the new owner of Graceland just a few weeks ago and then she shared thoughts on her current relationship with her grandmother.

Now, Priscilla has made new comments in an interview that was just released on Wednesday (August 23).
