Robert Pattinson Responds to Racism Against FKA twigs

Robert Pattinson is opening up in a new interview with NME about his fiancee FKA twigs and the racism she faces.

The 29-year-old actor didn’t say much specifically about twigs, but did say she is “just an amazing, amazing artist.”

Rob also opened up about his anger over the racist messages that his love receives.

“I was talking to my dad about this and I bet him that if he looked up Nelson Mandela’s funeral on YouTube, the first comment would be a racist one,” Rob said. “And it was, with like a million upvotes. What I don’t get is why. I think it’s because most normal people are not commenters – I’ve never met anyone who’s left a comment on anything. It’s just demons who live in basements. You have this weird thing where you end up trying to fight against this faceless blob, where the more you hate it, the bigger it gets, because it’s all in your head.”

Kristen Stewart on Robert Pattinson Split: 'It Was Incredibly Painful'

Kristen Stewart is opening up about her breakup with Robert Pattinson back in 2013.

“It was incredibly painful,” the 25-year-old actress told The Daily Beast when asked about making her film Equals right after it happened. “Ugh, f—king kill me.”

“It was a really good time for both of us [Nicholas Hoult] to make this movie. Not all of my friends have been through what I’ve been through, or what some people have tasted at a relatively-speaking young age, and we were not expected to do anything. Everything that we did was explorative, and a meditation on what we already knew,” Kristen added.

Back in July of 2012, it was revealed that Kristen had cheated on Robert, 29, with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

FKA twigs Talks About Relationship with Robert Pattinson, Reveals She's Never Seen 'Twilight'

FKA twigs has opened up about her relationship with fiance Robert Pattinson in the new edition of the Sunday Times magazine’s latest issue.

Here’s what the 27-year-old entertainer had to share with the mag:

On dating someone so famous: “I don’t understand what the levels [of fame] are. I’m a bit naive.… I don’t engage in that world, even with myself, even with my own career.”

On if her marriage to Robert could affect her creativity: “No, I don’t think it works like that. Don’t you get freedom with age and experience, not confines?”

On the rumors that she’s getting married: “Who told you I was getting married? You might read somewhere I’m a monkey and it doesn’t mean I am sure…”

On if she’s seen Twilight: “No.”

Robert Pattinson Interviews Jamie Bell for 'Interview' Magazine

Jamie Bell leans over a chess board in this cool black and white photo from his August 2015 feature for Interview magazine.

The 29-year-old Fantastic Four star was interviewed for the piece by Robert Pattinson, who started off with “Let’s only talk about your personal life. Your crack usage. Who are you f-cking?”

On whether we’ll see his character The Thing’s face: “There is potential. There’s stuff in the comic books where Miles Teller‘s character, Reed Richards, develops technology where he can be changed back. My question, to filmmakers and to audiences around the world, is would they want that? It’s unlikely. But it’s possible.”

On watching himself on screen: “I don’t really enjoy watching any of my work at all. It’s useful, because you get to see what mistakes you think you made and what choices didn’t quite work out the way you wanted them to. But at the same time, it’s such an excruciating experience because it’s final. You can’t do anything about it. So the process of rewatching it becomes so pointless. To get me to sit down in a screening, you almost have to nail me to the f-cking floor.”

On choosing parts: “I think I have much more appreciation for directing and movies overall versus a performance or an actor. Their body of work is more interesting. It’s hard to define somebody by one movie. I mean, unfortunately, my entire life was basically made by Billy Elliot. It was kind of created by that one catalytic moment.”
