'Will & Grace' Reboot Confirmed, Given 10 Episode Order By NBC!

UPDATE: The cast has revealed the first promo for the reboot!

Will & Grace is coming back to television!

The fab foursome from the original series – Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally – will all return for the 10 episodes on NBC.

“We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

“We started talking with Mutchnick and Kohan about producing new episodes right after they shot the secret reunion show back in September, and the fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke added. “Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and ‘Will and Grace’ is one of the best.”

The original series aired from 1998 to 2006. The new series will land on NBC for the 2017/18 season. More Here! »

'Will & Grace' Reboot In the Works!

A one season reboot of NBC’s hit show Will & Grace is reportedly in the very early stages of discussion!

The show would attempt to reunite stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes for a ten episode installment, Deadline reports. Creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan would also be in talks to return.

There are currently no deals in place. It is possible the show could wind up back on NBC, though a streaming service like Netflix could also be possible.

Last month, the cast reunited for a special mini-episode for Hillary Clinton and the upcoming presidential election!

Sean Hayes Apologizes for Not Coming Out as Gay Sooner

Sean Hayes played one of the most iconic gay characters ever on television during his run on Will & Grace, but he was still in the closet at the time.

The 46-year-old actor didn’t come out as gay until 2010, several years after the series went off the air.

Sean was presented with an award at the 2016 Outfest Legacy Awards on Sunday night (October 23) in Los Angeles and he apologized for not coming out sooner. The award was presented by Dax Shepard and the actor was joined by husband Scott Icenogle at the ceremony.

“[The press release] said that I took the stereotypical gay sissy and made him human, lovable, flawed and real. While this may be true, I think you should’ve led with flawed because at the time, I was a young closeted actor having his first taste of a little success and unfortunately, in my mind, my lucky break was inextricably tied to me thinking that i had to stay in the closet in order to keep moving forward,” Sean said in his speech (via THR). “Looking back at my choice to stay silent, I am ashamed and embarrassed. What was I thinking? As If any of you had any doubts. I mean, right, could a straight actor ever do this…?”

“When it comes to night’s like tonight and honors like this, I’m consumed with what I didn’t do,” Sean continued. “I know I should’ve come out sooner and I’m sorry for that. Especially when I think about the possibility that I might have made a difference in someone’s life. I would probably be able to sleep a lot better than I do if I had acted sooner, but such is life. We learn our lessons only when we are ready.”
