Lily Gladstone is voicing her thoughts on the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.

In case you weren’t aware, the Chiefs just won their third Super Bowl title in the last five years, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

The organization is one of many professional sports teams to reference Native Americans in its name and customs – a practice that many activists have deemed offensive.

Lily, who is of Siksikaitsitapi and Niimiipuu heritage, recently starred in Killers of the Flower Moon. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe and a 2024 Oscar nomination.

While participating in a panel at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Virtuosos Awards, Lily spoke out against the Chiefs’ offensive use of Native American imagery, as well as the team’s racist Tomahawk chop chant.

We’re just one month away from the 2024 Oscars and all of the nominees stepped out to celebrate their achievements together at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon!

Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Emily Blunt, and so many more A-List stars were in attendance to mingle with fellow nominees on Monday afternoon (February 12) at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Only three of the acting nominees – Robert De Niro, Danielle Brooks, and Jodie Foster – were missing from the event. 17 out of the 20 nominated actors attended!

Every year at the luncheon, a “class photo” is taken with each nominated star called up to the stage one by one. The stars who are called up first have to stand in their spot and wait for every other person to be announced before the photo is taken!

Leonardo DiCaprio was considered a favorite to receive a Best Actor nomination at the 2024 Oscars for his work in Killers of the Flower Moon, but he didn’t get one in the end.

The stars of Killers of the Flower Moon showed up and showed out at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday (January 14) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

Lead actors Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio stepped out for the awards ceremony, where they are both nominated for Best Actress and Best Actor for their work in the movie.

Also in attendance were their co-stars Robert De Niro, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Cara Jade Myers, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Jillian Dion and Janae Collins.

In addition to the three individual acting noms, Killers of the Flower Moon is also up for Best Picture, Best Director for Martin Scorsese, Best Acting Ensemble and more!

The week before, Lily made history at the Golden Globes with her Best Actress win.
