Thomasin McKenzie To Play A Very Famous Gymnast in Olivia Wilde's Next Movie 'Perfect'

Thomasin McKenzie has been tapped to star in Olivia Wilde‘s next film.

According to Deadline, the 20-year-old Jojo Rabbit actress will star as gymnast Kerri Strug in Perfect.

The film is based on Kerri‘s book, “Landing on my Feet, a Diary of Dreams”, which centered the story behind her historic Olympic vault to secure America’s first ever gymnastics team gold.

If you don’t know, Kerri was declared a national hero after competing in her final vault at the 2006 Atlanta Olympics, where she sprained her ankle and tore two ligaments upon landing.

Olivia is set to direct the biopic, and executive produce, with a script by Ronnie Sandhal.

She’ll also be directing this highly anticipated movie, too!

M. Night Shyamalan has another creepy movie coming out!

The 50-year-old filmmaker debuted the first trailer for his new movie Old during the 2021 Super Bowl on Sunday (February 7).

Here’s the synopsis: “Old centers on a group of people who find a dead body on a beach and slowly realize there is something unnatural happening,” according to Variety.

Old stars Gael Garcia Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung, Rufus Sewell, Embeth Davidtz and Emun Elliott.

M. Night Shyamalan is best known for directing movies like Split, Glass, and The Sixth Sense. He also serves as executive producer on the Apple TV+ series Servant.

Old is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 23.

M. Night Shyamalan's Next Movie Will Be Titled 'Old'

M. Night Shyamalan has revealed some new details about his upcoming movie, which will be titled Old.

The two-time Oscar-nominated writer and director took to social media on Saturday (September 26) to share the artwork for the upcoming movie.

“Feels like a miracle that I am standing here shooting the first shot of my new film. It’s called Old,” he tweeted.

The movie poster noted that the film is “A New Trip from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan. It’s only a matter of time.”

Gael Garcia Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung, Rufus Sewell, Embeth Davidtz and Emun Elliott are all part of the endsemble cast.

Not much is known about the plot, but Collider reports that the movie is inspired by the French graphic novel “Sandcastle” by Pierre Oscar Levy and artist Frederik Peeters.

Old will be released in theaters on July 23, 2021.

M. Night Shyamalan is working on a top secret movie and the cast has been revealed!

The 49-year-old filmmaker will be writing, producing, and directing the upcoming untitled movie for Universal Pictures.

No details are yet known about the movie, but Variety has revealed that Eliza Scanlen (Little Women), Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit), Aaron Pierre (Krypton), Alex Wolff (Jumanji, Hereditary), and Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread) are in negotiations to star in the film.

Shyamalan‘s most recent movie was Glass, which brought together characters from his movies Split and Unbreakable.

The 28-year-old 1917 actor stars in the upcoming western thriller True History of the Kelly Gang directed by Justin Kurzel.

Here’s the synopsis: Legendary outlaw Ned Kelly (MacKay) leads a band of rebel warriors to wreak havoc on their oppressors in this gritty and veracious western thriller.

The film also stars Russell Crowe, Nicholas Hoult, Essie Davis, Charlie Hunnam, Thomasin Mckenzie, Sean Keenan, Earl Cave, Marlon Williams, Louis Hewison, and Orlando Schwerdt.

True History of the Kelly Gang
will be out theaters on April 24 in NYC and May 1 in Los Angeles. It will be available On Demand on May 8.

Thomasin McKenzie stuns in a gorgeous white dress at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 12) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 19-year-old starlet was joined by Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress Julia Butters, Honey Boy‘s Noah Jupe and The Lion King‘s Shahadi Joseph Wright.

Thomasin, as well as Noah, Julia and Shahadi are all up for Best Young Performer at the show tonight.

'Booksmart' Stars Win Big at Hollywood Critics Association Awards 2020!

Olivia Wilde accepts one of her several awards at the 2020 Hollywood Critics’ Association Awards on Thursday night (January 9) at Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles.

Booksmart was a big winner at the event with Olivia taking home Best Female Director, the movie tying for Best Comedy/Musical and Kaitlyn Dever winning Best Performance by an Actress 23 and Under. Olivia was also honored with the Trailblazer Award!

Also in attendance at the event were Jojo Rabbit‘s Taika Waititi (winner of Best Adapted Screenplay), Honey Boy director Alma Har’el (winner of Best First Feature) with the film’s actor Byron Bowers, The Farewell‘s Shuzhen Zhao, Parasite director Bong Joon-ho (winner of Best Original Screenplay), The Peanut Butter Falcon‘s Zack Gottsagen (winner of the Newcomer Award), and Richard Jewell‘s Paul Walter Hauser (winner of the Game Changer Award).

The “Next Generation of Hollywood” was honored at the event and some of the recipients who attended included Kaitlyn, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Geraldine Viswanathan, Brooklynn Prince, Millicent Simmonds, Mckenna Grace, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Thomasin McKenzie.
