It’s been another action-packed week for soap opera fans, and we pulled together all of the must-see headlines!

Fans know that there’s always something happening both onscreen and behind the scenes of their favorite sudsers. After all, new episodes air on a daily basis. A twist or turn is guaranteed to be waiting for you around every corner.

But it’s not just the plots on The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital that keep you on your toes.

There’s so much happening that it’s hard to keep up. To make things easier, we are pulling together the biggest soap opera headlines of the week.

What all went down this week? Let’s start with the happy news: A longtime couple who met on the set of a soap opera celebrated a huge anniversary. We also got news of a huge family reunion that will take place onscreen for the first time in decades.

A few other soap opera returns have been confirmed, and one actor weighed in on reprising their role in a recently announced revival!

There’s also been some sad news. One star revealed the airdate of their final episode, and it was confirmed that another actor was not coming back from what was originally described as a leave of absence.

We also lost an iconic soap star who worked both on screen and behind the scenes as a writer.

Jon Bon Jovi is stepping out to promote his new Hulu docu-series!

The 62-year-old rocker was all smiles as he attended a special screening of Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story on Thursday night (April 25) held at the IPIC Theater in New York City.

Guests in attendance included Maye Musk, Jennifer Esposito and husband Jesper Vesterstroem, Oppenheimer actor David Krumholtz, Madame Secretary actor Erich Bergen, The Loudest Voice actress Jenna Leigh Green, and American Horror Story actor Denis O’Hare along with the docu-series’ director Gotham Chopra.

Following the screening, Jon mingled with guests at the after-party held at The Fulton by Jean-Georges.

The docu-series, which is available for streaming on Hulu now, follows “the history of Bon Jovi, featuring personal videos, photos, and music that provide a look at Jon Bon Jovi‘s life and the band’s journey from New Jersey clubs to global fame.”

In a recent interview, Jon addressed the possibility of touring again after undergoing vocal cord surgery.

O.J. Simpson died two weeks ago and now his cause of death has been revealed.

The former football player passed away on April 10 at the age of 76 and now his longtime lawyer is speaking out about what cause his death.

President Joe Biden is opening up about his mental state following the deaths of his wife Neilia and their infant daughter.

In December 1972, Neilia, who was 30 at the time, and 13-month old Naomi were struck by a tractor-trailer in a car accident and killed.

While appearing on The Howard Stern Show on Friday (April 26), Biden, 81, admitted that he contemplated suicide after their deaths.

Patti Murin is heading back to the stage!

The 43-year-old actress, who you might recognize from her appearances in Hallmark Channel movies like Love on Iceland and In Merry Measure, will play June Carter Cash in the new musical The Ballad of Johnny and June.

Some of Patti‘s previous musical roles include Princess Anna in Broadway’s Frozen and the title role in Lysistrata Jones.

Patti will star alongside Christopher Ryan Grant as Johnny Cash and Van Hughes and Van Hughes as John Carter Cash.

“Told through the eyes of their son John Carter Cash, this new musical covers it all: Johnny and June’s childhoods, their 1956 meeting at the Grand Ole Opry, the storied on-stage proposal in 1968, and the soaring highs and whiplash lows of fame, life on the road, addiction, arrests, controversies, marriage, family and devotion,” the official synopsis reads.

“I Walk the Line,” “Ring of Fire,” and “I’ve Been Everywhere” are some of the songs featured in the musical.

Performances begin at the La Jolla Playhouse, located about two hours south of Los Angeles, on May 28. The limited run will end on July 7. Tickets are on sale now!
