Douglas Booth goes shirtless on the cover of Clash magazine‘s Cannes special issue, on newsstands in the UK and at the festival now!

Here is what the 20-year-old Romeo & Juliet actor had to share with the mag:

On competing with Hollywood’s young male elite for the part of Romeo: “You’re never really aware of that because you just come in, do your own thing and that’s it. There was no sitting in a waiting room with the other 300 actors.”

On the rumors of having dated LOL co-star Miley Cyrus: “She’s so ridiculously famous that I knew when I took the job that there would be these rumors. It’s not particularly interesting because whoever she makes a movie with, there’s going to be rumors that she’s dating him. It’s a given.”

On Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet: “Hailee’s got such an understanding of her craft, but she’s also got a sense of innocence about it. This is just her second movie, which I thought was insane. If I was this good when I was doing my second movie I’d be laughing.”

The 16-year-old actress, who plays Juliet, and 20-year-old actor, who plays Romeo, are part of a star studded cast which includes Ed Westwick, Damian Lewis, Paul Giamatti, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Christian Cooke, and more!

Romeo and Juliet is based on the William Shakespeare play about two star crossed lovers whose feuding families get in the way of their love.

Lana Del Rey and Sam Claflin arrive in style to the Mulberry Autumn Winter 2013 show during London Fashion Week held at Claridge’s Hotel on Sunday (February 17) in London, England.

The 26-year-old singer and 26-year-old actor were joined at the event by Douglas Booth, Juno Temple, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne, Anna Wintour, and Atlanta De Cadenet.

This year’s Mulberry collection focused on rural English landscapes, nature and the flowers of England.

You may remember, several months ago Mulberry named one of their bags after Lana!

Here is what the 20-year-old Romeo & Juliet actor had to share with the mag:

On his good looks: “It very quickly isn’t flattering to be known only for the way you look. It’s just uninteresting if that’s all people want to talk about. I don’t necessarily want to hear about my talent or my greatness as an actor. You can say I’m sh-t, if you think so. But make it about something I do. The grittier, the dirtier, the worse I can look, the happier I am. It takes the pressure off.”

Noah co-star Emma Watson on his looks: “We met when he was 15 and I remember looking at him and thinking he was offensively attractive. And it’s just gotten worse from there.”

On overcoming nerves about playing Romeo: “[I thought] f-ck it, they’re choosing me because I can bring something fresh to it. Something in-the-moment and real, which is the spirit of Romeo, isn’t it?”
