Johnny Depp Looks Unrecognizable in 'Black Mass' Trailer - Watch Now!

The first trailer for Johnny Depp‘s movie Black Mass has arrived – and he looks unrecognizable!

The film is a true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.

Dakota Johnson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Adam Scott, Corey Stoll, Juno Temple, Joel Edgerton and more also star in the movie, which will be released in theaters on September 18.

The 51-year-old actor stars as his famous character Jack Sparrow. Due to an injury to Johnny‘s wrist, production was recently halted. Johnny is now back in Australia to continue shooting!

“Captain Jack is back and we’re not letting him go,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted, along with the photo.

Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush are returning to the series, as well as newcomer Javier Bardem.

Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Hold Hands For Australian Arrival

Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard walk hand in hand while arriving on a private jet at Brisbane Airport on Monday (April 20) in Australia.

The 51-year-old actor is back in town to continue shooting his highly anticipated film Pirates of the Caribbean 5, which hits theaters on July 7, 2017.

Johnny Depp's 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Production Halted After His Injury

Johnny Depp‘s Pirates of the Caribbean 5 has reportedly been delayed even more due to his hand injury.

The 51-year-old actor injured his hand earlier in the month in Australia and was rushed back to the USA for surgery. The injury did not happen during filming and was said to minimally impact filming.

New reports have emerged that say 200 crew members were told they would not resume filming until mid-April, Variety reports. Filming did continue on scenes without Johnny after he was taken back to the US on March 10. No word if this will effect the film’s previously announced July 7, 2017 release date.

Johnny Depp Leaves Australia with Injured Hand Taped Up

Johnny Depp is all smiles and waves to photographers while boarding a private jet on Wednesday (March 11) in Brisbane, Australia.

The 51-year-old actor had his hand all taped up and pressed against his chest after he injured it this week while in Australia for the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Johnny is off to the United States for surgery and production on the film will only be minimally impacted by the setback.

Johnny Depp Injured Amid 'Pirates 5' Filming, Surgery Needed

Johnny Depp was reportedly injured while in Australia for the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and is going to need surgery, a rep for the film confirmed to JustJared.com.

The 51-year-old actor will be returning to the United States for surgery and an insider says that production is going to be “minimally impacted” by the injury. Johnny was not on set or filming when the injury occurred, according to TheWrap.

The release date for the new Pirates movie – July 7, 2017 – has not changed, a Disney spokesperson has confirmed.

'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Official Synopsis Revealed!

Johnny Depp‘s upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales has officially begun production and the official synopsis has been revealed.

The film will star new cast members Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, and the just announced Golshifteh Farahani, who recently starred in Exodus: Gods and Kings. Returning to the cast are Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs and Stephen Graham as Scrum.

In the new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Dead Men Tell No Tales will film entirely at Village Roadshow Studios and on locations within Queensland, Australia. It will be released on July 7, 2017.
