Winona Ryder walks the red carpet at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (January 30) in Los Angeles.
The 39-year-old Black Swan actress wore a white strapless gown by Alberta Ferretti to the event.
Winona is up for two awards during tonight’s star-studded show. One for her work with the cast of Black Swan and another for her female role in the TV miniseries When Love Is Not Enough.

On her character of an ousted ballerina: “I thought it was a cool parallel. Being replaced by the young thing. I know that definitely happens in Hollywood. It’s harder to find good roles, and suddenly there’s new girls. I’m at that age I’ve been warned my whole life about.”
On Celebrity Rehab and drugs: “I mean, who would want to go through that, on TV? I think [painkillers are] more powerful than people think. People think, ‘Oh, heroin’s the hardest,’ but pills can be…I broke my arm in two places. For about a month, I had to take it. But then I just kept taking it for, like…maybe three more weeks. But the thing I do remember is that once my arm was okay and they were still there, you kind of like…”

Black Swan received four Independent Spirit Awards nominations including Best Feature, Best Director (Aronofsky), Best Female Lead (Natalie Portman), and Best Cinematography.

Mila had to film a love scene with Natalie Portman for the film, which she found very difficult to do because of their friendship. “It is slightly uncomfortable to have to be intimate with a good friend. The scene’s important for the character, but we went in going, ‘This is going to be a little different,’ yeah,” she told Virgin Media.
“We shot everything both ways. Sometimes I would be the sweet one and Natalie would be the mean one, and then we’d flip it. At the end of the day it was all up to Darren [Afronsky].”
