Earlier that same day, Zelda spoke out against media publications that didn’t include coverage of the Challenged Athletes Foundation when covering her recent interview about her dad.

“Guess it’s too much to ask that news sites that pick up my interview at least mention the amazing @CAFoundation, the reason I spoke at all,” she tweeted.

Zelda continued, saying: “I didn’t do the interview to talk about why my father died, I took it to talk about why he lived. Excluding charity is missing the point…Regardless, I’m grateful to all those the interview reached who have lost someone or feel lost themselves. Know you’re not alone.”

Robin Williams' Daughter Zelda Talks About Her Father's Death in New Interview (Video)

Zelda Williams, the daughter of the late Robin Williams, gave her first interview since her father’s tragic death six months ago.

“A lot of people feel his absence,” the 25-year-old actress said, noting the support she and her siblings have received.

“There’s no point questioning it and no point blaming anyone for it and there’s no point blaming yourself or the world or whatever the case may be because it happened and you have to continue to move and you have to continue to live and manage,” Zelda added, also noting that she doesn’t question why he committed suicide. “I don’t think there’s a point. It’s not important to ask.”

This coming Friday, Zelda will present the “Noble Award,” honoring Robin’s charity work, specifically with the Challenged Athlete Foundation.

Zelda Williams Honors Dad Robin on World Mental Health Day

Zelda Williams is honoring the memory of her dad Robin Williams and trying to raise awareness for several charities on World Mental Health Day.

“Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. Mental illness is often misunderstood & misrepresented, but that’s starting to change. Let’s end the stigma,” the 25-year-old actress tweeted. “Mental health IS as important as physical health, & whether there are visible signs or not, the suffering is real. It can affect EVERYONE.”

“So please, let’s help stop the misconceptions & support those who need our help. Healing the whole starts with healing minds,” Zelda continued. “Some wonderful mental health charities: supportbarrow.org, afsp.org, narsad.org, and hopeforthewarriors.org.”

“No matter what the misinformed say, you can’t simply CHOOSE to make mental illness go away. It is NOT cowardly to suffer or seek help,” Zelda concluded. “Lastly, my dad openly fought depression his whole life, both in general and his own. No matter what anyone says, it is a FIGHT. Fight on.”
