John Leguizamo Refuses to See 'Super Mario Bros. Movie' - Find Out the Reason Why

John Leguizamo is not seeing the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The 62-year-old actor spoke out against the film in an interview with TMZ on Wednesday (April 5) in New York City.

When asked about whether he’d be seeing the film, he responded “Hell no!”

If you don’t know, Mario starred in the 1993 live-action film.

“No, I will not be watching,” he added before posing for selfies with fans.

“They could’ve included a Latin character. I was groundbreaking, and then they stopped the groundbreaking,” he added.

“They messed up the inclusion. They dis-included. Just cast some Latin folk. We’re 20 percent of the population — the largest people-of-color group, and we’re underrepresented. Over-represented in the worst kinda jobs, though.”

The new Super Mario Bros. Movie‘s voice cast features Chris Pratt as Mario and Charlie Day as Luigi.

Find out what critics are saying about the movie.
