Adam Levine gets his tough guy on in Maroon 5‘s latest video for “Payphone” featuring Wiz Khalifa!

The 33-year-old front man stars as a bespectacled bank worker who saves a co-worker from bank robbers in the Sam Bayer-directed video.

“The video we made for ‘Payphone’ was almost a hundred percent my idea,” Adam told E! News. “I think that writing treatments for videos is the best outlet for [creative writing]. It’s so much fun to tell a story in that way.”

Here’s what the 33-year-old Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach had to share:

On his jam-packed schedule: “I just hope this isn’t the case when I’m 40. I turned 33 and I thought, ‘OK, this is exactly where I need to be,’ and why should I stop until I get to a point where I can, and say, ‘F— this, I’m going to go play golf.’”

On marriage: “I’m extremely fascinated by [it]. I want to study marriage. I want to learn about it. I want to know it. I want to figure out whether or not I want to do it. I’m not just going to leap into it, because that’s not good for anybody.”

On his personality: “I can be a huge pain in the ass, huge pain in the ass. That’s part of who I am and there’s not a person I know who doesn’t think I’m a pain in the ass. But I’m also really nice and a completely affable and socially adept person. There’s a difference between being an asshole and a pain in the ass.”

The 33-year-old singer and The Voice coach was seen making a phone call from a telephone booth after shooting a major car wreck scene.

Adam Levine and Anne V have called it quits, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

“Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best,” the 26-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model said in a statement.

The 33-year-old The Voice coach started dating Anne in early 2010 after they met at a SI party where his band, Maroon 5, performed.

Anne appeared in the group’s “Misery” and “Never Gonna Leave This Bed” videos.

Adam Levine goes out to dinner on Sunday (March 26) at Joss Cuisine in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 33-year-old singer may make his television acting debut on FX’s American Horror Story! Adam would play one half of a couple called “The Lovers” in the show, it was reported last week.

Adam also revealed that he’s been working on new music with Maroon 5 and that he’s in love with it.

“We are working on a new song. Singing it in the studio gives me goosebumps. Never been more excited,” he wrote on his Twitter account last week.
