Who Is Sara Bareilles' Boyfriend? Meet Rise's Joe Tippett!

Sara Bareilles will be taking the stage for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert in just a few hours, and many may be wondering – is the singer single?

Well, she is currently dating actor Joe Tippett and the story of how they met is really sweet! The pair met while working together on her Broadway show Waitress – where she wrote the music and lyrics and he had a role in an out of town try out in Massachusetts in 2015.

Though Joe wasn’t in the original Broadway cast of the musical, he eventually did take over the role of Earl in the show.

In addition, Joe has starred on Broadway in Airline Highway and also portrays Coach Strickland on NBC’s Rise.

Watch Sara Bareilles Sing 'Make Them Hear You' from Broadway's 'Ragtime' at MisCast Gala!

Sara Bareilles is becoming a true Broadway star these days. She recently wrapped her second run in the musical Waitress and she’s attached to star in an upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical.

In the meantime, the Grammy-nominated singer will appear in this weekend’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live and she also participated in the annual MCC Theater MisCast Gala.

Sara joined other Broadway stars in singing songs usually performed by characters that they never would get to play at the event on Sunday (March 25) in New York City.

Sara sang “Make Them Hear You” from the classic musical Ragtime. What you don’t see in the video is how she actually forgot the words twice during the performance!

“The performances were F–KING INSANE. I feel honored to have been a part of it all and I will NEVER NOT USE A TELEPROMPTER AGAIN. #sorry #thirdtimesacharm,” Sara wrote on Instagram about the event.
