Diane Kruger steps out in style for a photo call in support of her latest movie, Farewell, My Queen, at La Reserve on Thursday (March 15) in Paris, France.

The 35-year-old actress (in Derek Lam) recently spoke to IndieWire about playing such a well known character.

“The perception of Marie Antoinette is already so established. That’s the danger of playing a historical figure because people have an opinion about her and have already judged her… [from] movies that have been made about her,” Diane said.

“For this movie it was irrelevant what I thought about it. I wanted to connect to her on a human basis…I wanted her to be more complex than just the symbol of what people think Marie Antoinette is or was,” she concluded.

Diane Kruger glams up the red carpet in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture at the premiere of her new movie, Farewell, My Queen, on Thursday (February 9) at Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

Earlier in the day, the 35-year-old actress – along with co-stars Lea Seydoux and Virginie Ledoyen – promoted the drama at a photo call during the first day of the Berlin International Film Festival.

The movie, titled Les adieux à la Reine in French, takes “a look at the relationship between Marie Antoinette (Kruger) and one of her readers during the final days of the French Revolution.”

Rachel McAdams is white hot in a Maxime Simoens dress with floral accents at the photocall for her new movie, Midnight In Paris, at the Palais des Festivals during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 11) in Cannes, France.

The 32-year-old Canadian actress was accompanied by director Woody Allen, and co-stars Owen Wilson, Lea Seydoux, Michael Sheen, and Adrien Brody.

Midnight in Paris is a romantic comedy about a family traveling to the French capital for business. The party includes a young engaged couple forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better.
