Michael Keaton Confirmed as Villain in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'!

After so much speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Michael Keaton will play the villain Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming!

At first, there were reports that talks with Michael fell apart early on, but then talks ramped back up again and it’s now been confirmed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in an interview.

“We’ve had a wish list, and most of them in the near-term are coming together,” Kevin said (via the LA Times). “Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in ‘Thor: Ragnarok.’ Michael Keaton’s Vulture in ‘Spider-Man’ is something. And of course, finally, we’re showcasing Josh Brolin’s Thanos [in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’]. We’re looking forward to that very much.”

Tom Holland, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, and Jon Favreau also star in the film, in theaters on July 7, 2017!

Michael Keaton Says It's a 'Good Thing' He Didn't Quit Hollywood

Michael Keaton suits up for the cover of Haute Living‘s July/August 2016 issue, provided exclusively to JustJared.com.

Here is what the 64-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On a Beetlejuice sequel: “I hear this all the time. People know more than I do, and they come up to me all the time and go, ‘So Beetlejuice is happening’ and I have no idea… So is the latest that it’s not happening?”

On not quitting Hollywood: “It’s a good thing I didn’t quit because [everything] comes around again. I’ve heard this happen to people—not just in show business—[where] all of a sudden, you get interested in work. I like that my opportunities are there now that weren’t there before. I’ve always had offers, but there were certain periods where the offers weren’t necessarily great, or some were really good but I was picky and choosy about them. Most of the time, I made decent choices. I look back at certain films [though] and I have no idea. [If someone said] ‘Tell me why you did that movie or I’ll pull the trigger,’ I would say ‘Pull the trigger, because I have no idea.’”

On turning down roles to be a dad: “[I had] little costs here and there. I was really an attentive father because I think that’s your job. I don’t deserve any credit for it; it’s what you’re supposed to do.”
