Here's Why Travis Scott Really Deleted His Instagram Account

Travis Scott deleted his Instagram account this week and fans were wondering if he did so because he was heavily trolled for his brown Batman Halloween costume.

A source is now speaking out and confirming he did not delete his account because of the backlash to his costume, but rather because he is “focusing on his family,” including 2-year-old daughter, Stormi, with ex Kylie Jenner.

“Halloween had nothing to do with it,” the source told Page Six. “He is focusing on his family and their well-being and wants to influence his fans to do the same instead of being so consumed with social media.”

The source added that this is “such a critical time in the world right now,” referring to the 2020 Election.

It’s election day today (November 3) and it’s important to get out and vote!

Travis Scott Deletes His Instagram After Fans Troll His Batman Costume For Halloween

Travis Scott is gone from Instagram.

The 29-year-old musician apparently deactivated his account on Sunday (November 1) after sharing a few images of his Halloween costume the night before.

For the spooky holiday, Travis dressed up as DC hero Batman, and showed off the Michael Keaton inspired suit, which was brown in color and Travis was posing next to his vehicles of the same hue.

The costume, according to ComicBook.com, was met with a lot of jokes and mean comments from fans online.

Some fans had compared the costume more to a cockroach than the caped crusader.

While many think he deleted because of the costume, others have theorized that Travis bidding social media goodbye for now could also be because he’s gearing up to release new music.

Earlier this year, Travis revealed he had a song in Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet movie. Here’s what the director shared about it…

Travis Scott Drops 'Franchise' - Read Lyrics & Find Out Why It's Not Called 'White Tee'

Travis Scott has dropped his new song “Franchise” and he’s also opening up about why the song wasn’t called “White Tee.”

The 29-year-old singer teamed up with Young Thug and M.I.A. for the new song, which was first teased in a commercial to promote his McDonald’s collaboration.

“Franchise” pays homage to the song “White Tee” by Dem Franchize Boyz and Travis told Apple Music that he originally planned on keeping the name.

He said, “We just naturally, it was just always just calling it ‘WHITE TEE.’ Just, just like, I think I was like the first bar made and we was making a song. It was just like hard and just you peep with me and him and we talk about it. I just, we still call it like ‘WHITE TEE’ and sh-t like that. ‘Franchise’ is always like the name, I think we have on the board for it and it was just fire. We had like a couple circled names we always thought was dope. So, you know, we just went with them, you know. So now you know, it’s just like names is always…so that’s the joint though, man. I f-k with it heavy.”

The music video for “Franchise” was debuted in select IMAX theaters tonight ahead of showings of Tenet.

Travis Scott Fined After Hundreds of Fans Gather at McDonald's Without Approval

Travis Scott is getting hit with a fine.

The 28-year-old rapper was hit with a fine by police in Downey, California due to an unauthorized event celebrating the launch of his McDonald’s meal, Us Weekly confirmed Wednesday (September 16).

“The visit was supposed to be a surprise and not meant to cause any hysteria. Travis did post about the event [on social media]. His fans were the ones who found out before Travis even arrived and flooded the McDonald’s. Travis will comply and pay all fines associated with the incident,” a source told the outlet.

The Downey Police Department tweeted that the appearance “was neither approved nor permitted by the City of Downey,” and officers “were dispatched in response to a large crowd gathered and focused on traffic and pedestrian safety concerns until the crowd dispersed.”

No injuries were reported, and no one was arrested. A spokesperson told TMZ that approximately 500 fans attended the event, and he did not obtain the needed permits to have a gathering of over 200 people or film at McDonald’s, according to citations. Each ticket had a $100 fine.
