If you’re an NFL fan, you definitely know who Ian Rapoport is.

And if you’re new to the NFL world (hi, Swifties!), it’s definitely time to follow him on social media!

Ian is one of the biggest must-follows on all of Twitter (now known as X) for his reporting on player injuries, trades, insider info from sources, player contract details, and more. He’s always one of the first to break huge NFL news, and can often be seen on the NFL network discussing the latest stories.

Ian also just launched a t-shirt partnership with Homage and proceeds for the shirt are benefiting the Kids In Need foundation. Be sure to check that out!

We got a chance to catch up with Ian and learn 10 Fun Facts about him, including tidbits about life with his family: his wife Leah and their sons, Max and Jude.

  1. My candy tastes resemble that of a 5-year old. Favorite candies? Pez and Smarties – and not the weird Canadian chocolate ones, but the delicious ones that are a cousin of sweet tarts. I also could eat an entire box of Gobstoppers in one sitting (don’t judge).
  2. Whenever I have a free morning, I’m on the golf course. And recently, I had my first Eagle ever, draining a 6-foot putt for a big celebration. But I’ve never had a hole-in-one and not only that, have never had any near-misses. More likely, I just miss the green. (face palm emoji).
  3. I met my wife Leah in Mississippi while covering Mississippi State for the Clarion-Ledger, the first of four states we’ve lived in together. The others are Alabama, Texas, Massachusetts and New York. Lots of different license plates. I think we’re done moving for a while (ever), though.
  4. My first car was a red Ford Mustang convertible, automatic and a V6 lol. I loved that car, even if everyone else rolled their eyes. I drove it down from New York to Mississippi for my first full-time job after college, top down the entire way.
  5. I have two sons – Max (10) and Jude (8.5) – and I spend most afternoons and weekends helping coach their many sports. From baseball to flag football to wrestling to golf and tennis, I’ll lend a hand when I can, giving them just another opportunity to ignore me and do it the way they wanted to do it, anyway.

Get to Know Martha Plimpton with 10 Fun Facts You Probably Don't Know About Her Already (Exclusive)

Martha Plimpton is a beloved Emmy-winning actress best known for her work in TV shows like Raising Hope, The Real O’Neals and The Good Wife, but she’s also an activist who found the nonprofit A is For.

A is For, which Martha co-founded with Kellie Overbey, is a small nonprofit organization that was created to de-stigmatize abortion through the arts, and we offer financial support to abortion-providing services.

This weekend, Martha is hosting Broadway Acts for Abortion at 54 Below. A star-studded group of talent including Kelli O’Hara, John Cameron Mitchell, Ann Dowd, Carrie Preston, Michael Emerson, Bonnie Milligan, and more are coming together to raise money and awareness for abortion rights. The event is on Sunday (October 1) at 6:30pm!

Ahead of the event, we caught up with Martha to learn some fun facts about her that most fans probably don’t know. Check them out below!

  1. I co-created A is For alongside my dear friend Kellie Overbey to create a space for artists to stand up for reproductive rights, and dismantle the stigma surrounding abortion care. To date, we’ve donated 250k to abortion providers and fund across the country, built programs like our one act playwriting contest, and each year we throw what everyone has said is the most exciting benefit of the year, Broadway Acts for Abortion.
  2. In 2018 I traveled to Africa and studied tracking in Botswana and South Africa for one month. It was the most profound and life-changing experience of my life. I slept in a tent with elephants and leopards sauntering past all night. I passed my exam at the top of my class. I can’t wait to go back.
  3. I’ve driven across the U.S. in pretty much every direction nearly twenty times. I’ve driven through every state in the union, except Hawaii and Alaska. I recently purchased an Airstream trailer, and plan to keep on doing it! Maybe Alaska next summer?
  4. I’ve had abortions and I’m not afraid to say so. I’m very fortunate to have had access to the medical care I needed, when I needed it. EVERYONE should have that access. Abortion is healthcare.
  5. When I was nominated for an Emmy Award for Raising Hope, all of the nominated actresses (myself, Amy Poehler, Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey, Edie Falco, Laura Linney) got together and walked on stage as our names were called, like at the Miss America pageant. When Melissa McCarthy won, she got a tiara and a bouquet of roses. I think it’s still one of the funniest moments in an awards show ever and I’m so proud of all of us for pulling it off.

  1. I’m an Eagle Scout. Let’s go camping! But somewhere with no mosquitoes. Mosquitoes love me.
  2. I have a scar from the Rose Bowl! Apparently, I was squirming in my mom’s arms at our first (and last) football game and I smacked into the chair in front of us. I would go to the ER two more times as a kid because of head injuries. It’s a wonder that I have a solo show memorized in there.
  3. I graduated high school at the age of 16. I didn’t get my drivers license until after I graduated!
  4. When I was in high school, I voluntarily put myself in conversion therapy. I don’t recommend it. I do recommend therapy-therapy.
