Mindy Kaling brightens up the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The 33-year-old funny lady was joined at the event by her former The Office co-star and close friend BJ Novak.

At the affair, Mindy chose a custom Lela Rose dress, Jean Michel-Cazabat heels, Gemfields emerald rings, Andy Lifshutz rings and collar, and a Tonya Hawks bag.

BJ wore an Emporio Armani suit, Andy Lifshutz cufflinks and bracelet, and Florsheim by Duckie Brown shoes.

After a day-long manhunt, the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has been captured alive.

Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, was found hiding inside a covered boat that sat in a backyard in Watertown, Mass. He is currently being transported to the hospital for unknown wounds.

Celebrities immediately took to Twitter to express their relief as well as their support for the Boston Police Department following the apprehension.

Brooklyn Decker and Jaime King strike poses at the Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture Celebration of the 2013 Vanities Calendar held at the Chateau Marmont on Monday (February 18) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 25-year-old actress and 33-year-old Hart of Dixie star were joined at the big soiree by The Office‘s Ellie Kemper, who met up with her co-star BJ Novak while inside.

John Mayer has lost his mane attraction!

The 34-year-old singer showed off his short new haircut at The Hollywood Reporter‘s celebration of actress/comedian Mindy Kaling‘s new FOX series The Mindy Project at Skybar on Saturday (August 25) in West Hollywood, Calif.

John, who recently split from Katy Perry, mingled with The Office co-stars Mindy and B.J. Novak and a few gal pals.

“I was was thinking the night before that I wanted to cut his hair off, and when John came into the salon that is exactly what he wanted to do without me saying a word,” John‘s hair stylist Sally Hershberger told Haute Living. “We have a flow that just works.”

John Mayer and BJ Novak get ready to have some fun in the sun as they chat with some friends at the Kia Beach House party on Sunday (August 12) in Malibu, Calif.
