Check out Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Hardy in these brand new character posters for The Dark Knight Rises!

The actors star as Batman, Catwoman, and Bane, respectively, in Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming action flick, hitting theaters July 20.

Tom, who’s been busy promoting his other movie, Lawless, recently shared how he approaches and prepares for any role.

“You sit and you dwell and you wait and you read and you think and you meditate,” he told the Associated Press about the process. “It takes time to think and ponder, and the work is never done because it just continues. It’s looking for evidence of things.”

Christian Bale is casual and comfortable as he makes his way through LAX Airport on Saturday (May 19) in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old star of The Dark Knight Rises seemed to be in a good mood as he headed out of the airport.

Christian is breaking out of the bat suit for his upcoming movies. One of his new projects is called Lawless, where he stars opposite Natalie Portman, Ryan Gosling, and Rooney Mara. The drama focuses on two love triangles set against the music scene in Austin, Texas. Lawless is slated for release next year.

Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway channel their Batman and Catwoman characters for the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s summer movie preview issue, on stands Friday (April 13).

Director Christopher Nolan chatted about Anne‘s portrayal of Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

“She has a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about,” says Chris, “which implies an underlying darkness.”

“I had to physically transform,” added Anne. “Chris sat me down at the beginning and said, ‘Joseph Gordon-Levitt did all of his own fighting in Inception. That one zero-gravity fight? He trained for two months.’ I basically left his office and went to the gym and just came out about five minutes ago.”

Christian Bale heads out after dining out with his family on Tuesday (March 27) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 38-year-old Dark Knight Rises actor came back to his car to find he was issued a parking ticket.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Christian may be teaming up with Zoe Saldana for the big screen throwback Out of the Furnace.

Out of the Furnace follows an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his younger brother as soon as he’s released from prison.

The 38-year-old Dark Knight Rises actor and 33-year-old Colombiana actress would team up in a big screen throwback to 1970s movies, which will be produced by Relativity Media with Ridley and Tony Scott.

The story “follows an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his younger brother as soon as he’s released from prison,” Variety writes.

Zoe would play Christian‘s ex-wife – Viggo Mortensen is also considering playing the villain role.
