Tom Hiddleston Teases New Details About 'Loki' TV Series

Tom Hiddleston is preparing to play Loki again in the upcoming Marvel television series for Disney+ and he’s revealing new details about the show.

The 38-year-old actor says that the series will be six hours long, which will likely be split into six one-hour episodes.

Tom opened up in a new interview with MTV News, during which he revealed how he found out the series would happen, plus much more.

“I feel like I know him, I’ve been playing him for 10 years now, and that’s crazy to me,” Tom said. “By the time it’s out, I’ll be 40. When I was cast I was 29, which is a great chunk of my life…but the point is, there’s a sense of ‘I know this character now, I feel the audience knows him.’ Playing him, and playing him truthfully, but presenting him with new challenges which then have to change him in different ways is the most exciting aspect of it. You have his specific gifts, his intelligence, his treachery, his mischief, his magic, and then seeing him come up against more formidable opponents the like of which he has never seen or known.”

Tom is currently making his Broadway debut in the play Betrayal.

'Annabelle Comes Home' Star Michael Cimino To Star in Disney Plus's 'Love Simon' Series

Michael Cimino has signed on to star in the lead role of Disney Plus’s Love, Simon series.

The Annabelle Comes Home actor will play Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation.

When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school, Variety reports.

Michael joins Ana Ortiz, who will play Victor’s mother Isabel, and original movie star Nick Robinson, who will narrate the half-hour series in addition to serving as producer.

Other young stars joining the series include: James Martinez as Armando, Victor’s regular blue collar “guy’s guy” father who loves his family deeply and works hard for his family; Isabella Ferreira as Pilar, Victor’s sullen younger sister in the throws of teenage angst, and Mateo Fernandez will make his acting debut as Adrian, Victor’s adorable, good-natured little brother.

Johnny Sequoyah as Mia, Victor’s whip-smart friend with a quick wit and easy laugh; Bebe Wood as Lake, Mia’s quirky and social media-obsessed best friend; George Sear as Benji, Victor’s confident and charming classmate; Anthony Turpel as Felix, Victor’s lanky, awkward new neighbor; and Mason Gooding as Andrew, Creekwood’s cocky and popular basketball-loving jock have also joined the series.

The series is set to begin production this month in Los Angeles.

'The Sandlot' TV Series in the Works for Disney+

A series based on the cult classic movie The Sandlot is being developed for the new streaming service Disney+.

David Mickey Evans, who directed and co-wrote the 1993 movie, is writing and executive producing the new series.

While the first film followed a group of friends playing baseball during the summer of 1962, the series will take place in 1984 and focus on the children of the original characters, according to Variety.

“I just sold a Sandlot television show. We’re about to get an order for the first two seasons,” Evans revealed back in March. “I can’t tell you who’s gonna stream it, but I know who’s gonna stream it — it wouldn’t take a genius to figure that out right now. [...] I already got all the original cast members back. It takes place in 1984 when they’re all like 33 years old and they all have children of their own. That’s all I can tell you.”
