Eminem Speaks Out About Tupac & Biggie's Rap Rivalry

Eminem is sharing his thoughts on Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.‘s rap rivalry.

The 46-year-old “Killshot” rapper opened up about the late rappers while hosting 12 Days of Dissmas on his exclusive SiriusXM channel Shade 45 on Tuesday (December 25).

Joined by SiriusXM host DJ Whoo Kid and Paul Rosenberg, Eminem discussed some of hip hop’s greatest diss records ever made. Listeners heard songs from artists such as LL Cool J, N.W.A., 2Pac, and more.

On the rivalry, Eminem shared, “That, I feel like, was the first time I ever heard anybody get that personal on a diss ’cause it was definitely – most of it, majority – was personal, below-the-belt jabs and s–t, but it was done so well, and the record was just co crazy.”

“That’s another beef,” he added. “The Tupac/Biggie thing was tough because you like them both, and you’re just stuck in this weird thing where you’re bumping the Tupac diss record, then you’re bumping something from Biggie that might be dissing him in it.”

Eminem also discussed the first 50 Cent song he ever heard and the “dangerous” energy he felt when listening to it.

Eminem Drops 'Kick Off' Freestyle - Read Lyrics & Watch Video

Eminem has released a new freestyle rap titled “Kick Off” and it’s over 10 minutes long!

The video was shot in Detroit at Em‘s “old stomping grounds” and the freestyle was inspired by the new battle rap movie Bodied.

“I’ve always looked at battle rap as a competition where the main objective is to destroy, completely f–king obliterate your opponent by saying anything and everything, whatever the fuck you can to get a reaction from the crowd,” Eminem says in the video. “So nothing’s off limits.”

Eminem references the terrorist bombing at Ariana Grande‘s concert in Manchester in the rap, among other topics.

Ariel Winter Has Some Thoughts About Iggy Azalea's Eminem Shade

Ariel Winter is a little baffled by Iggy Azalea‘s response to Eminem‘s diss track.

If you don’t know, over the weekend, Iggy responded to being called a “ho” in the rapper’s new song and said, “Diss songs shouldn’t be filled with celebrity name drops to pad out lazy bars.”

Hours after Iggy tweeted her sentiments, Ariel posted, “Is she seriously calling out Eminem for having ‘lazy’ bars…….awkward because…I mean…,” though she never named Iggy.

Ariel later followed up with, “I enjoy her music as well I just don’t think she should ever be calling Eminem’s verses lazy. Her music is fun but it is not anywhere near Eminem’s caliber,” and “I still enjoy some of her music I just can’t understand how she would think that she had any ground to stand on saying what she said about an absolute rap legend.”
