Oprah Winfrey is all smiles while hitting the red carpet at the premiere of her brand new show Queen Sugar held at the Warner Bros. Studio Lot Steven J. Ross Theater on Monday (August 29) in Burbank, Calif.
The 62-year-old actress-executive producer was joined by her co-creator Ava DuVernay, stars of the show Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Rutina Wesley, Tina Lifford, Timon Kyle Durrett, Omar J Dorsey, Kwesi Boakye, Kwame Boateng, Greg Vaughan, Marycarmen Lopez, Estrella Nouri, as well as Xosha Roquemore and Niecy Nash.
Queen Sugar follows the life of two sisters, Nova Bordelon (Rutina) and Charley Bordelon, who, with her teenage son Micah moves to the heart of Louisiana to claim an inheritance from her recently departed father – an 800-acre sugarcane farm.
Oprah Winfrey walks and talks with director George C. Wolfe on the set of their new TV movie The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks on Tuesday (August 23) in Atlanta, Ga.
The 62-year-old actress and TV personality has a role in the film as well as serving as executive producer.
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks follows an African-American woman who becomes an unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s, and will air on HBO in 2017.

Oprah Winfrey is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the classic book A Wrinkle in Time.
The actress and media mogul will be reteaming with her Selma director Ava DuVernay, who is set to direct the movie based on Madeleine L’Engle‘s book.
Oprah is set to play the role of Mrs. Which and other actors in negotiations to appear in the film are Amy Adams and Kevin Hart, according to Deadline.
A Wrinkle in Time follows “a young girl whose government scientist father has gone missing after working on a mysterious project called a tesseract, which involves being transported to a fifth dimension with mysterious inhabited planets. She takes part in a search for her father and sees some incredible creatures along the way.”
While promoting Greenleaf, Oprah officially made her endorsement for Democratic party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
“I will get behind the one. I’m with her. I have to say I’m with her,” Oprah revealed (via ABC News). “I would also say, that regardless of your politics, you cannot be a woman in the world and not see that this is a monumental time for women breaking the ceiling,” Oprah added. “Talk about breaking the ceiling.”

The two ladies are Tony-nominated for their work in The Color Purple and they were joined by co-star Heather Headley for a performance during the show.
Oprah Winfrey, the producer of the musical revival, introduced the performance.
Cynthia, who is the frontrunner to win Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Celie, sounded amazing while singing the show’s eleven o’clock number “I’m Here.” She got the first standing ovation of the night!

On Monday morning’s episode of The View, Whoopi revealed what she thought of the mistake.
“They could have used an orangutan and said an orangutan has a new tattoo. I feel pretty good if you’re comparing me to Oprah, saying I look like Oprah. That’s not a bad thing,” Whoopi said. “It could’ve been a lot worse.”
When co-host Michelle Collins mentioned that Total Beauty wants to donated $10,000 to the charity of her choice, Whoopi said, “They don’t need to do that. Just know it happens. People make mistakes all the time. We’ve done it on the show… It was an honest mistake. We both look good.”
