Vanessa Hudgens shows off her toned body on the cover of Women’s Health May issue, available now.
Here’s what the 28-year-old Powerless actress had to share with the mag:
On the diet that works for her: “High fats and no carbs. When I ate carbs, I would get that dip in the afternoon, where I felt really sluggish. When I’m off them, my energy stays consistent throughout the day…Since I got back to eating like this the last month or so, I’ve lost 10 pounds. That’s a lot for my [5’1”] height.”
On performing in Grease Live! just a day after her father passed away: “My dad would not have wanted me to not do the show. I’m going to go out there, have a great time, do my best, and hope the world enjoys it, but most importantly, enjoy it myself.”
On gaining weight and cutting her hair for Gimme Shelter: ““I looked in the mirror and was like, ‘Who am I?’ It was definitely a journey back to myself, and yoga helped.”
On her fitness routine: “I’m really competitive when it comes to fitness. I like being around people so I can compete.”
