NCIS will say goodbye to late star David McCallum in the show’s upcoming 21st season.
The late actor, who passed away in September at 90 years old, was one of the original stars of the CBS series, and has appeared as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard in every season since it’s premiere in 2003.
Executive producers on NCIS have revealed how the show will honor David with a special tribute episode in the beginning of the next season.

NCIS fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the hit TV series.
Back in February, CBS revealed that NCIS would be back for Season 21 during the 2023-2024 television season.
“BIG news. Get ready to grab your gear, we’ve got more work to do. #NCIS has officially been renewed for Season 21! We’ll see you there,” the network announced.
CBS confirmed that NCIS officially returns for Season 21 on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET!

The NCIS spinoff series will center on a new team of NCIS Agents teaming up with the Australian Federal Police (AFP), who are grafted into a multi-national taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.
Rick Maier, who is Paramount Australia and New Zealand’s Head of Drama, opened up about the series, saying via Deadline, that it’s “one of the best-loved franchises in the world is in the hands of one of our best production companies. NCIS: Sydney is exciting for all of us at Paramount and we hope one of the most eagerly anticipated commissions of the year.”

The stars – past and present – of NCIS are paying tribute to David McCallum after it was revealed that the actor passed away at the age of 90.
Stars Mark Harmon, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law and Brian Dietzen, as well as former series regular Michael Weatherly, all took to social media, sharing their memories and condolences about David.
