While preparing for the birth of her baby with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie has stepped up a campaign to save the lives of mothers, fathers and children in Darfur, Sudan.

Jolie, 30, a United Nations goodwill ambassador, plans to take out a large advertisement in USA Today on her own accord next week, explaining in her words the past killings of 400,000 civilians by the Sudanese government-supported militia Janjaweed and the need to stop the violence.

"I chose to take out this ad because when Congress returns from recess (on April 24) they have the chance to fully fund peacekeepers in Darfur," Jolie tells PEOPLE. "The situation in Darfur has been going on far too long. It’s only getting worse. Reports are pouring in about mass atrocities including children getting raped and killed. If people are aware of the facts, I believe many will be driven to action."

Jolie, who notes in the ad "I'm an actress, and certainly no foreign policy expert," has visited the region twice – once in October 2004 and again in June 2004.

She asks those interested in the campaign to visit the Web site www.genocideintervention.net or call 202-224-3121.

Although she's eight months pregnant and presently staying in Namibia with Pitt, 42, and their kids, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1, "she's right there personally e-mailing, dictating, giving creative input," says Trevor Neilson, who works as a philanthropic adviser to Jolie and Pitt. "This project is her vision, her concept."

Aging has been taken a toll on Brad Pitt's face. He looks really old, not the same Brad Pitt before. Probably because now he has to take care of two kids, soon to be three. Traveling with Angelina all over the globe, working with United Nations, the man must be exhausted and stressing out and this clearly shows on his face.

Brad had always wanted to get away from his "Pretty Boy Pitt" looks because that meant all style, no substance. But now he has what he wants, family, 2 children with a third on the way, traveling to all parts of the world, and a partner who gives him space to do what he wants. I think his looks are not that important to him anymore. And after all, he's aging, which happens to all of us -- no one is exempt. Of course he won't look like he did ten years ago, when he was sexiest man alive.

Thanks for these pictures, Brad looks better than ever. IMO, they stayed in Paris and in that penthouse just a tad too long. Brad and Angie both seem like such adventerous, outdoor people and I have a feeling going to Africa was like a breath of fresh air for them.

Angelina is arguably the most beautiful and sexiest woman in the universe. She and Jennifer are not on the same level when it comes to beauty.

Angelina did not tempt Brad nor Brad just wanted to impregnate Angelina. Brad and Angelina fell in love because they share the same convictions and dreams. The baby is the result of a great love story.

Will they last? No one knows, but I guess both Angelina and Brad will try harder to make the relationship work.

Hi, I did realize that they were doing a lot of work while they were in Paris. I'm thinking it sounds so nice for them where they are at now with some open space, supposedly there's a garden area where the kids can be outside and Maddox can play catch and soccer. And with trips to game reserves, etc., they must be loving it.

Don't see the "gorgeous Jennifer", do see a pretty woman who has the money to make the best of her assets. Angelina is just naturally one of the most beautiful women around today, even more so pregnant without makeup. They fell in love/lust/love, can't have one without the other at some point in a relationship. Don't see any midlife crisis on Brad's part. Do see a very happy handsome MAN with his family. Are you saying that all men are having a midlife crisis when they are in their late 30's or early 40's because they choose to want/have family with children? High probability exists that the pregnancy was a joint decision, both AJ and BP had to want it to happen. It does take two to tango...Reminds me of one of my favorite parts of MMS. AJ and BP just seem to "fit" each other. Can't imagine them with anyone else, but can accept that it is their lives to live, not mine. I will remain a fan of both regardless. hi guys just thought id let you know, i watched a programme late last night, it was a programme on the lives of the paps and its based around the paps that work for big pictures. the episode that was on last night was when the first pictures of brad and angie together on the beach in kenya, im only putting this in as it showed you the date, it was may 3rd! the pics went to press the next day! so anon once told us that brad and angie consumated there relationship in kenya, i really think that the baby is due then, to co inside with there first union! if thats the case how sweet is that!

Did you ever think that Brad just fell out of love with his ex ? I know this has been said a thousand times, but he wanted to start a family. Should he stay in a childless marriage just because Jennifer is "gorgeous"? Very shallow.

Angelina has always been beautiful and sexy, not "right now". You make it seem like she never existed before Brad came along.

I think the relationship is a success because of the soon to be born baby Joli-Pitt and Maddox and Zahara. They are a family. The haters on this and other blogs like to call Brad a nanny and want him to stop "playing dad", they wish for him to "come back to his senses" and leave Angelina and the children.

They and you apparently can't wrap you minds around the fact that Brad is a father now. Not a "father figure" but a father in every sense of the word. Some men are mere sperm donors, they are never around to RAISE the child. Those men are NOT fathers but sperm donors. Brad is the opposite. He is actively raising Maddox & Zahara with Angelina. He has made a committment to her and the children that is forever. They may or may not last as couple but the committment to children is there. That's why I call this union a SUCCESS already. Brad managed to achieve his goals with Angelina that he never did with his ex-wife while married.

NEW YORK (AP) - One down, one to go. Now that TomKitten has been born, the world still awaits the birth of another superbaby: the expected child of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It's a tabloid editor's dream of a doubleheader _ it's a beautiful day, let's play two!

On Tuesday, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise _ aka TomKat _ welcomed into the world their first child together, a daughter named Suri. The name has its origins in Hebrew meaning "princess" or in Persian meaning "red rose," according to Cruise's publicist.

Israeli newscasts were good-naturedly skeptical about Suri being a Hebrew word. "We seem to have learned a new Hebrew word, and from Tom Cruise, no less," said the Channel 2 anchorman.

Meanwhile, Jolie is nearing the end of her pregnancy as she and Pitt lay low in the southwest African country of Namibia. Us Weekly readers and genealogists alike crouch with bated breath for the coming of what could be the human race's most beautiful spawn.

I just had to post this because the last line is just so true. I can hardly imagine the beautiful child these two will produce.

I am looking forward to hearing about the birth of baby Stefani-Rossdale. I've been a fan of Gwen since her ska days. It's wonderful to see how she's grown up with a great sense of all around style (most of the time, anyway). It hasn't been wonderful seeing her L.A.M.B. clothing line or listening to her recent contributions to music however. That baby will be cute as a button.

You Go Frenchy!!! Thanks for summing it up in a nutshell for us - you're just telling it like it is. Some of the haters seem to have a short memory when it comes to the fact that JEN filed for divorce from Brad - not the other way around. If he was so hot to get with Angie then wouldn't it stand to reason that he would have done the filing. Angie was just there for him I'm sure when his marriage disolved and it's only logical if there was a strong connection they would be drawn to each other. Angie said it in Vanity Fair last year - if she met a man who was good to her kids that would be it - it would be over for her. I think Brad has more than shown that he is a hands on Dad and devoted to her kids by formally adopting them. He didn't have to do that at all!! It was his way of showing his commitment to Angie and that he would be there for her and the children no matter what. If this was just some hot hook up for him he wouldn't bother. But he's been saying for the last several years - he's got family on the brain. He really seems to be a traditional type of guy, he's never been a guy playing the field if you look back at his dating history. You can probably count on one hand the number of women he's been involved with. I'm sure he never went into the marriage with JA thinking they'd be divorced and I'm sure that it came down to some ultimatum in that Brad wanted kids and since Jen wasn't ready she realized she had to end things. I think they loved each other enough to realize that they just weren't on the same page.

Again I reference the kiss on the beach January 2005 when they went on vacation with Courtney and David. If there was infidelity and betrayal on anyone's part, I seriously doubt that they would have been ending their relationship that way. It appears that it was a final trip together to discuss their future and decide how to proceed amicably with their lives.

So I don't consider Angelina a homewrecker. I don't consider Brad a scumbag who left his wife. I do however consider Jen an idiot for letting this most amazing man who was totally devoted to her, who wanted HER to be the mother of his children, get away. And you can tell from how she is dealing with the break-up that she has realized what a mistake she made, seeing this family together and how loving he is to those kids has got to be killing her. Total bozo!

Yes Frenchy - I am awaiting that one too. Gwen has wanted a baby for so long. It will be cute to see what the heck she dresses that baby up in and what name it gets. I haven't heard any rumblings about whether it is a boy or girl. There are so many famous expecting moms right now it's hard to keep up with them all! I totally agree with you.

I think that's why JA's whining all this time. At first, it was their mutural decision to separate, and they did it peacefully at least at that time. It was until the separation reality kicked in then JA really realized what she had lost and regret her decision and started really felt pain (if not more), and found out it's so difficult to move on. She once herself said something like, it's difficult to find a date since she had been with Brad Pitt. It's funny but the whole time Tom was married to Nicole (10 years?) I seem to remember them being just a normal, somewhat private couple. I remember a few interviews but for the most part they just seemed to be raising their kids happily and making movies. A local governor in Namibia said Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt told him they would have their baby in his country and are considering giving the child a Namibian name, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Samuel Sheefeni Nuuyoma, the governor of the Namibian province where the couple is staying at a heavily guarded lodge, said he had breakfast on Friday with the two stars, according to The Sunday Times of South Africa.

He said Jolie had made those choices because "she loves Namibia."

Namibian immigration officials confirmed earlier this month that the couple and five other people, including two children, arrived in Walvis Bay on a chartered jet from Paris, prompting speculation their baby will be born in Africa.

Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie will be reprising her role as Lara Croft in ‘Tomb Raider 3’.

According to the Daily Express, Jolie will be required to start training almost immediately after her new child’s birth.

The creator of Lara Croft, Ian Livingstone told the newspaper: "Paramount has optioned it and Angelina has agreed to star in the third."

A source added: "Angelina is already in training to make sure she gets rid of her post-pregnancy bulge.

"She wants to be in tip-top shape and look better in Lara's outfit than ever."

Jolie is currently residing in Nambia with Brad Pitt and their two adopted children awaiting the birth of their child.

I thought that she was going to star in the Sin City sequel after the birth of the baby!

Although she also has been mentioned for 'Sin City' as well and Brad does have 'O13' to do, plus both have premieres for their released movies to do. Husbands may glow if they are still fathers-to-be but husbands who are already fathers (and hands on caring ones at that) don't glow, they are usually tired looking but content and that's what I see.

I used to see him as a not very interesting pretty boy. Now, he's so much more then just an actor. Fatherhood and a relationship with Angelina has been good to him.

I think most of the Hyperbole around the baby's looks come mostly from the tabloids. Most of the posters here are just happy Brad is getting the family he's always wanted.

Anyone got more information on Jolie-Pitt taking on "Mighty Heart" about Daniel Pearl? I haven't been able to stop thinking how wonderful that would be... Jolie gaining all the emotional range (mother, pregnant, in love), Pitt being an aspiring journalist in youth, both seeing the conditions in Pakistan first hand, and both personal friends to Marianne Pearl.

That is one beautiful and tragic love story, both Marianne and Danny showing the most heroic spirit every step of the way. I cried watching Marianne's interview about her giving birth in Paris only in the company of Danny's photo on her belly. She never wiped her serene smile off when she talked about it, and even made a joke about banning everyone from her delivery room, only to be intrupted by a nurse taking a phone call. Brad Pitt today called for people to submit proposals for an environmentally friendly design competition he is sponsoring to rebuild parts of New Orleans devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

“It is our hope that this competition will generate and uncover new and innovative ideas, which will advance the practicalities of responsible architecture, as well as spark a long overdue rebuilding effort for the people of New Orleans,” the actor said in a statement.

He added: “This competition asks the question, can this catastrophe be turned into opportunity?

"Can we create for these neighbourhoods and its families something even better than they had before? We encourage anyone with an idea to get involved.”

Pitt, who is currently in Namibia with Angelina Jolie and their children, is teaming up with Global Green USA, a national environmental organisation, on the design project.
