Apple Announces iPhone 8 & iPhone X

Apple held their annual press event on Tuesday (September 12) in New York City, where they announced the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X.

The iPhone 8 comes with a durable, dust resistant all-glass body, with 12MP dual-lens rear cameras optimized for augmented reality, which superimposes information onto what is seen through the camera. The iPhone 8 Plus contains a new portrait lighting feature for enhancing lighting on the face.

It comes in silver, space grey and a new shade of gold.

The iPhone X, released in celebration of the iPhone’s 10th birthday, features all-glass design, a larger battery, no home button, a 12MP dual-lens camera optimized for augmented reality, facial recognition technology called FaceID for securing the device, custom emoji called “animoji” that reflect the phone user’s expressions using 3D front-facing camera technology.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone X are also capable of wireless charging with a charging mat.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 8, which will go for $699 ($799 for the iPhone 8 Plus) begin on September 15, and the phone will be available on September 22. iOS 11 arrives on September 19.

The iPhone X will be made available to pre-order on October 27 and ships starting on November 3. It will be $999 for the 64GB version, and the 256GB version will cost $1,149.

Apple Announces iPhone 7, Accidentally Leaks Details Early!

Apple held their annual Press Event on Wednesday (September 7) in New York City, where they announced the iPhone 7.

The new iPhone is expected to have a better battery life, be water resistant, have a new and improved camera (with optical image stabilization, larger aperture and 60% faster), stereo speakers, and much more! There will also be additions and changes to the messenger app and the maps app, among others.

The manufacturer also boasts a new and improved home button, which has a Taptic Engine and will be more responsive. There will also be no headphone jack, which had been rumored for months. Wireless AirPods earbuds will be sold, and you’ll be able to use your old headphones that will plug into the charger. The phone will come in five colors: two types of black, gold, silver and rose gold.

Apple also announced that a new Nintendo Mario game will be available in the app store called Super Mario Run – a side-scrolling, automatic-running game!

In addition, before announcing the iPhone 7, Apple’s Twitter account accidentally tweeted out details about the phone!

You can pre-order the phone now, and it will be available on September 16.

Body Found at Apple Headquarters in Cupertino

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports that a body was found at the Apple headquarters on Wednesday (April 27) in Cupertino, Calif.

According to reports, a female employee was involved in an argument and had gotten a head wound, from possibly a gun. Some reports say a body was found in the conference room from a “possible suicide,” TMZ reports.

Dispatch audio was revealed: “…at Apple campus Infinite Loop, for a 1056 attempt… female employee bleeding with a head wound to the head… possibly has a gun. Her… looks like security was escorting the employee down and the Westside units are just now arriving… I do have further… they are advising that the body in one of the conference rooms has a gun so we’re not really sure if there are multiple people involved.”

Apple received some bad news this week, as their stock fell about 7%. This equates to a loss of about $40 billion in value.

Our thoughts are with all of those involved.

New 'Game of Thrones' Trailer Debuts During Apple Watch Event

A brand new trailer for Game of Thrones season five just debuted and it’s making us so much more excited for the show to return.

The trailer heavily features Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage‘s characters.

HBO debuted the trailer at Apple’s latest event, where the channel announced its new streaming service HBO Now. People who don’t subscribe to the premium channel can now pay $14.99 a month to stream everything available via HBO Go. It will become available on April 12, the same day that the new season of Game of Thrones premieres.
