George Clooney & Rande Gerber Sent the Casamigos Halloween Truck Around L.A. & Lots of Stars Got In!

George Clooney and Rande Gerber‘s tequila brand Casamigos always throw an epic Halloween party every year, but they had to change things up this year due to the pandemic.

The guys launched the Casamigos Halloween Truck, which made stops at the homes of their friends around Los Angeles to drop off essentials for everyone to host their own Casamigos Halloween celebration at home.

Some of the celebs who received visits included Gabrielle Union, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Zoey Deutch, Molly Sims and husband Scott Stuber, January Jones, Charlotte McKinney, Maria Menounos, and YouTube star David Dobrik.

Casamigos says that the experience was “created with safety as the first priority and every precaution has been taken to ensure the health of all guests and staff.” In between every stop and group of guests, the air in the truck was purified and every touch point was wiped down with disinfectant.

'L.A.'s Finest' Canceled by Spectrum Originals After Two Seasons

L.A.’s Finest has been canceled.

It was announced on Wednesday (October 14) that the cop drama starring Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba has been canceled by Spectrum Originals after two seasons, Variety reports.

News of the cancellation comes after Fox announced back in May that it had acquired the rights to air both seasons.

The show first started off as a pilot order at NBC during the 2018 pilot season, but the show was ultimately passed over. Spectrum then picked up L.A.’s Finest as its first original series, and it premiered on the streaming site in 2019. After strong reviews, it was renewed for a second season.

The first season of L.A.’s Finest is currently airing on Fox, with season two debuting on Spectrum Originals back in early September.

L.A.’s Finest is a spinoff series of the Bad Boys films, which focused on Drug Enforcement Agent Sydney Burnett (Union).

Neither Jessica or Gabrielle have addressed their show’s cancellation yet.

Gabrielle Union Speaks Out About Not Receiving Support From Her Black Colleagues After Claiming Work Toxicity at NBC

Gabrielle Union is opening up about the lack of support from her Black colleagues after the misconduct claims she claimed against America’s Got Talent last year.

The 47-year-old actress and producer spoke to Marie Claire for their October 2020 issue, and got candid about the harsher side of the entertainment industry.

“These racist institutions and systems have done an amazing job at keeping us very fearful of speaking up, asking for equality, and asking for accountability, because they have shown us time and time again that we are disposable,” Gabrielle said.

She added, “They will discredit and malign you, and you will never work again.… Being blackballed in this industry is very real.”

Gabrielle went on, speaking of those who accused her of overplaying the allegations.

“That very sentiment is how all of this has been allowed to go on for centuries; that kind of gaslighting, I categorically reject,” she adds. “You are not going to gaslight me into minimizing my trauma, which is exactly what allows this to continue on for the next person.”

She continued, “I cannot center fear in my life. I can’t center functioning from a fear of scarcity. They say silence is violence, and I refuse to be complicit in my silence. I have to be fully present in my body and fully free.”

Late last month, Gabrielle and NBC reached a settlement in response to her toxic workplace allegations. See what they were here…

“We’ve reached an amicable resolution. NBC Entertainment appreciates the important concerns raised by Gabrielle Union and remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds can be treated with respect,” a joint statement from NBC and Gabrielle’s spokespeople said.

“Reported at length by Variety, Union was ousted as a judge on the Simon Cowell-produced show after complaining of racism, health violations in the form of Cowell’s on-set smoking, and her labelling as difficult in advocating for a functioning and dignified work environment,” the outlet reported.

In an internal investigation that was never formally completed, distributor NBC and producer FremantleMedia “found no evidence of systemic racism but made significant changes to the human resources reporting process for employees at numerous parties involved in the show,” they also reported.
