Lin-Manuel Miranda, James McAvoy, & Ruth Wilson Join BBC Series 'His Dark Materials'

Lin-Manuel Miranda is starring in a new BBC series called His Dark Materials!

The 38-year-old Hamilton creator will have a role in the eight-part adaptation of the hit fantasy novels by Philip Pullman, Variety reports.

His Dark Materials will cover the first three books: “The Golden Compass” (“Northern Lights” in Britain), “The Subtle Knife,” and “The Amber Spyglass.”

Dafne Keen portrays “Lyra, the precocious girl at the center of the story, whose adventures with a truth-telling device called the alethiometer bring her into contact with her mysterious Uncle Asriel (James McAvoy), a terrifying woman named Mrs. Coulter (Ruth Wilson) and a strange phenomenon called Dust. On her journey from Oxford to London and beyond, Lyra meets charismatic aeronaut and adventurer Lee Scoresby (Lin-Manuel).”

The series also stars Clarke Peters, Anne-Marie Duff, Ariyon Bakare, Ian Gelder, Georgina Campbell, Will Keen, and more.

Principal photography is underway in Cardiff, Wales.

M. Night Shyamalan‘s Glass has just debuted some first look images and the very first teaser trailer!

The film brings together two of his past films: 2000’s Unbreakable and 2016’s Split!

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn (Bruce Willis) pursuing Crumb’s (James McAvoy) superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Also reprising their roles are Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke.

Sarah Paulson and Spencer Treat Clark are also in the cast.

The movie hits theaters on January 18.

Jessica Chastain Joins 'It: Chapter Two' Adult Cast at Table Read

Production has started on the upcoming movie It: Chapter Two and the cast has assembled for a table read!

The movie’s official Twitter account shared a photo of Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), and Andy Bean (Stanley Uris) at the table read.

“Back to Derry with these Losers,” the official account wrote, referring to the Losers Club.

It: Chapter Two will be released on September 6, 2019. We can’t wait!

James McAvoy Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at 'It: Chapter Two'

James McAvoy shared some first look pics from behind-the-scenes at day one of It: Chapter Two, which just began filming.

The pics feature James and his co-stars Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, James Ransone, and Isaiah Mustafa who play the adult versions of Richie Tozier, Beverly Marsh, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Mike Hanlon, respectively. In addition, James posted photos with some of the young stars, who are rumored to be appearing in flashback form in the second film in the franchise.

Jaeden Lieberher, who plays young Bill, and Jack Dylan Grazer who plays young Eddie, can also be seen in the Instagram image.

The movie will hit theaters on September 6, 2019.

Sarah Paulson, James McAvoy, & Bruce Willis Bring 'Glass' to CinemaCon 2018!

Sarah Paulson hits the stage alongside co-stars James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, and Samuel L. Jackson at 2018 CinemaCon on Wednesday afternoon (April 25) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The co-stars attended the event to promote their upcoming new thriller film Glass.

In the film, Sarah plays “a psychologist dealing with the three other characters, who she notes all believe that they are superheroes. What followed was a series of scenes with the characters interacting with each other — with Bruce’s character attempting to stop an apocalyptic outcome,” Variety reports.

Glass hits theaters in January 2019.
