Julia Louis-Dreyfus takes home her 5th consecutive award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for Veep at the 2016 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 18) in Los Angeles.
While accepting her award, Julia revealed her father passed away earlier this week, and dedicated the award to him.
“I’m so glad he liked Veep because his opinion was the one that really mattered,” Julia said through tears.
This is Julia‘s sixth Lead Actress win – making her the actress with the most wins in this category. She was previously tied at five awards with Candice Bergen and Mary Tyler Moore.
FYI: Julia is wearing a Carolina Herrera dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Renee Lewis jewelry.
The issue marks the mag’s first-ever his-and-hers fashion issue and 11 total stars have their own cover. The others include Irina Shayk, Priyanka Chopra, Elle Fanning, Jodie Foster, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kanye West, Kit Harington, Ethan Hawke, and Rami Malek.
Here is what the stars shared with the mag:
Chris on the power of getting a good role: “In the 6th grade, I played the supporting lead in a play called ‘Crazy Camp.’ I ended up dating one of the more popular girls as a result. The second the play was over, she dumped me. So, at a young age, I learned the power of getting a good role.”
Priyanka on taking care of her body: “When I was a teenager, I was a tomboy and had scars on my legs. But then I taught myself to take care of my body and my hair. It takes time, but if I can do it, anybody can. Today, my legs sell 12 or 15 products in my part of the world.”

Melissa opened up to People at the event about her time working on the Gilmore Girls revival series.
“For the longest time it was just not going to work out schedule-wise. And once we decided is there any possible way, something fell out for me, something changed for them, and then we immediately nabbed it,” Melissa said. “I went back and visited about two weeks ago and saw the sets again and everybody on them.”
FYI: Julia is wearing a Carolina Herrera dress and an Edie Parker clutch. Priyanka is wearing Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and an Edie Parker clutch. Ben is wearing BLACK by Vera Wang.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus speaks on stage at the AOL Build Speaker Series to discuss Veep held at AOL Studios on Wednesday (April 20) in New York City.
“Kind, humble, funny, supportive and never, ever missing a beat. We are lucky to live in the age of JLD. Long may she reign,” Lena wrote.
FYI: Tony is wearing an Original Penguin shirt and pants.
Here’s what the 55-year-old Veep star had to share with the mag:
On opportunities in film: “I’m not interested in being the wisecracking this or that or the eye-rolling wife. Those roles are out there, and they’ve come my way, but I’m not doing that. I’m bored sh*tless by that.”
On ‘Last F—able Day’: “I started to feel unbelievably paranoid that I was making fun of myself and wondering, was this really happening to me? Like, ‘How meta is this moment in my life?’ I started to have a kind of soul-searching crisis in the middle of the day. And I didn’t know the women well enough to bring it up, so I was just trying to be a good sport even though I was dying a little bit on the inside.”
