Kanye West is teaming up with MTV for a new show called “Alligator Boots” where hip-hop meets the Muppets.

“It’s going to be the black version of The Muppets,” said Doug Herzog from MTV.

The half-hour pilot will be produced by Jackhole Prods, the company founded by Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla. This company was also behind Comedy Central’s ppupet-centric Crank Yankers.

Yesterday, the 31-year-old rapper was arrested at LAX airport in Los Angeles for breaking a photographer’s camera.

Kanye just blogged about the experience: “We back in the lab [making music]!!! I’m cool with the paparazzi. This guy wasn’t cool. I gotta work now… I’ll rant later!”

Mr. West, along with his road manager, allegedly damaged $10,000 worth of camera equipment. Check out the video of them wrestling for cameras at TMZ.

Kayne’s upcoming album, 808 & Heartbreak, is scheduled for a December 16th release.

Kanye West was arrested at 7:51 a.m. PST on Thursday at LAX Airport in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old rapper is being charged for battery and vandalism.

Apparently a photographer was trying to snap pics of Kanye at the American Airlines terminal. Kanye allegedly confronted the photog and smashed his camera to the ground.

A TMZ videographer was taping this entire ordeal, so when Kanye realized, he rushed to the camera man and yelled, “Gimme that f—ing tape!”

Both Kanye and his bodyguard were arrested.

Kanye West goes “skins” on the basketball court and does a little ballin’ in Hawaii on Sunday.

The 31-year-old entertainer might be working off a few cheeseburgers after the announcement that he will be bringing the Fatburger chain to Chicago. He has purchased the rights to open 10 branches of the fast food restaurant in Chicago and plans to open the first eatery in Orland Park next month. His second one is scheduled for a Jan. 2009 opening.

Kanye West steps out of his West Village, NYC apartment on Thursday and hops into his waiting SUV with his cell phone glued to his ear.

The 31-year-old hip-hop superstar recently was accused of hiring a “ghost blogger” to post blog entries for him on his official blog.

Said accuser claims, “I know you don’t really believe Kanye West updates his blog several times a day while chasing skirts and displaying his astounding ignorance all over the world? Hopefully you’re not that naive. Sure Kanye wrote that one outburst on his blog, but no, he doesn’t find all those neat gadgets or post those videos and photos from the road. Someone else does all that for him.”

Kanye retaliated with a blog entry of his own, cheekily posting pictures of himself (see below) looking at the very blog entry he posted. Hah!

Kanye West just published another blog entry to vent to his fans. This time, he’s frustrated with fashion mag Harper’s Bazaar for assuming the painting on his ceiling is a winged version of himself (see left). Here’s what Kanye had to say in his “Harper’s Bazaar… I Don’t Have A Painting Of Myself As An Angel” blog entry:

“To put it short as Kanye-ly possible (don’t mean to speak in third person)… Harper’s Bazaar came to my home, took pics, asked a lot of questions and then assumed the painting in my dining room was of me as an angel. This isn’t true and it bothered me greatly because people think I’m so so so cocky that I would have something like that. I’m sure it was an inside joke to everyone from the magazine in my home that day. People would come over my house after that and say, ‘I heard about this pic of you as an angel!’ I would have appreciated if Harper’s Bazaar would have put in some type of blurb to clear it up. I wanted people to see my home because I spent 2 years gutting it and was proud. I’m just a regular guy with cool stuff in his crib but instead I was made out to be Ben Stiller’s character in the movie Dodgeball with the huge pic of him wrestling a bull in his office. Why didn’t they write that my house had no pics of me, no plaques or awards, just art. I guess it’s bittersweet, you spend half your life trying to become larger than life and the other half trying to just live a real life again.”
