Kristin Chenoweth Drops 'Very Thought of You' Stream with New Album Pre-Order

Kristin Chenoweth has released the first song off her upcoming album The Art of Elegance!

The Tony-winning entertainer’s album is now available for pre-order on iTunes and you will get an instant download of “The Very Thought of You” featuring jazz saxophonist Dave Koz.

Kristin recently opened up about how her album is coming out the same day as her former Wicked co-star Idina Menzel‘s new album.

“I’m guessing she was as surprised as me,” Kristin said in a new interview. “[I'm] excited because we’re so very different. I can’t wait to hear her full, complete album because there’s just a lot of respect there. Definitely want to pay homage by listening and learning what she’s doing and where she’s at in her life. Because that’s what artists get to do. We get to show people, ‘well this what’s kind of inspiring me right now.’ I can’t wait to hear it. I know a lot of it is original, and I can’t wait to hear what she has to say.”

Kristin Chenoweth Reveals 'Art of Elegance' Album Artwork & Track Listing!

Kristin Chenoweth has revealed the album artwork and track listing for her upcoming album The Art of Elegance, which will be comprised of American Songbook classics.

The album will be released on September 23 and feature such classic songs as “Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “A House is Not a Home.”

“Elegance is a quality that I look for, in music and in life,” Kristin said in a statement. “It goes back deep within me. I’ve always felt that even a little girl from Oklahoma could still be elegant, not just in her musical tastes, but in the way she treats others, how she dresses. I love all kinds of music, but this repertoire has spoken to me my whole life. I remember learning some of this music as young as twelve, and thinking to myself that one day, I would get to perform it. Now here I am with a record dedicated to the melodies and lyrics of some of our greatest composers.”

Kristin Chenoweth Poses With Some 'Easter' Bunnies!

Kristin Cheoweth and her pet pooch Maddie get ready to board a flight out of LAX Airport on Tuesday (July 26) in Los Angeles.

Earlier in the week, the actress and Broadway star – who just celebrated her 48th birthday – announced at 2016 Comic-Con that she would be joining the cast of the Starz series American Gods, playing the goddess Easter.

In honor of the occasion, Kristin posted a photo on her Instagram of herself joined by a couple of bunnies.

“What would a bunny do… #AmericanGods #SDCC #sdcc2016 @starz,” she captioned the pic.

Kristin‘s caption also was likely referencing a story that she tells in her concerts, in which she talks about her first experience on stage as a child. She was given the made-up role of the bunny in a production of The Nutcracker and stopped the show when she hopped across the stage to grab a fallen branch in her mouth. Kristin said in her mind she thought, “what would a bunny do,” and that’s what led her to do it!

Check it out below!

American Gods will premiere in 2017.
