Kristin Chenoweth has been welcoming audience members to the stage to perform her Wicked song “For Good” as a duet for some time now, but the moment was more special than ever this weekend.
The Emmy and Tony-winning actress sang at the Tilles Center in New York on Saturday night (October 10) and invited an eight-year-old girl named Olivia to the stage.
“Let me tell you something about Olivia. I’ve known her for a very long time. I haven’t sung with her. I have seen her sing to me on YouTube. This whole night is about the arts. You guys have been supporters of the arts. This is your Carnegie Hall. This is where people go to be entertained and to see new work. And this is the beginning of many generations after me,” Kristin said while welcoming her guest to the stage.
During the performance, Kristin was moved to tears by Olivia‘s beautiful performance!
