So many celebrities stepped out to attend the 2024 BAFTA Tea Party presented by Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions on Saturday (January 13) at The Maybourne Beverly Hills.

The star-studded event featured appearances from more than 100 stars, including the likes of Julianne Moore, Jonathan Bailey, Mark Ruffalo, America Ferrera, Fantasia Barrino, Cillian Murphy, Sam Claflin and Eva Longoria.

The 2024 Governors Awards brought out so many stars for the big event!

Stars including Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron, and hit the red carpet at the 14th annual event on Tuesday evening (January 9) held at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, Calif.

During this year’s Governors Awards, Angela Bassett, filmmaker Mel Brooks, Sundance Institute’s Michelle Satter, and editor Carol Littleton will all be awarded honorary Oscars for their contributions to the film industry.

Fantasia Barrino and Oprah Winfrey wear shades of purple at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (January 7) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 39-year-old singer/actress and the 69-year-old producer were among those in attendance, representing their movie The Color Purple, which picked a few nominations for the ceremony.

Also stepping out were Fantasia‘s co-stars Danielle Brooks and Colman Domingo, who are also both nominees, as well as producer Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw.

Fantasia is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Celie, while Danielle is up for Best Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as Sofia, the same award Oprah was nominated for for the same role in the 1985 version of The Color Purple.

In addition, while Colman was not nominated for his Color Purple role, he was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his work in the film Rustin.

FYI: Fantasia is wearing custom Dolce&Gabbana with a Simon G ring, and Ring Concierge jewelry. Oprah is wearing a Louis Vuitton dress with Manolo Blahnik shoes and Chopard jewelry. Danielle is wearing Moschino. Colman is wearing Louis Vuitton with a David Yurman bracelet. Steven is wearing Oliver Peoples eyewear.

It was a good night for so many stars at the 2024 Astra Film Awards on Saturday (January 6).

The event was hosted at the Biltmore Los Angeles, and a list of talented celebs walked the red carpet and accepted awards on the main stage!

Hailee Steinfeld took home the award for Best Voice-Over Performance for her work on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, while Fantasia Barrino, Danielle Brooks and their The Color Purple castmates took home the win for Best Cast Ensemble.

Greta Gerwig‘s Barbie also slayed the competition. The blockbuster won Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Song. Margot Robbie tied with Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) for Best Actress, and Ryan Gosling snagged Best Supporting Actor.

Fantasia Barrino is sharing how she really felt about playing the lead role of Celie in The Color Purple on Broadway.

The 39-year-old American Idol winner earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in The Color Purple movie musical, but has struggled emotionally with portraying the character.

During an interview with People, she said that she almost declined the offer to play Celie in film because she had such a hard time doing the show.

The movie The Color Purple is currently in theaters and winning over audiences around the country!

The film features Celie’s triumphant song “I’m Here,” which is performed by Fantasia Barrino in the movie. She’s reprising her role as Celie after previously playing the character in the Broadway version of The Color Purple back in 2007.

“I’m Here” has been performed around the world and by various talented stars and we’ve rounded up some of the best renditions of the song.
