Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka sandwich in Oprah Winfrey during a taping of her show Oprah’s Next Chapter.

“Neil, David, their dog Watson and me in their backyard. Interview for Next Chapter,” Oprah wrote on her Instagram account.

The 38-year-old How I Met Your Mother actor recently shot a Mother’s Day message for the Noreen Fraser Foundation, which was provided exclusively to JustJared.com.

The foundation, which raises funds and awareness for women’s cancer research, has debuted celebrity video e-cards to stress the importance of early detection of women’s cancers. The e-cards are available now and feature various celebs wishing moms all over a Happy Mother’s Day as well as emphasizing the significance of mammograms and other screening procedures.

Cougar Town‘s Busy Philipps also walked the red carpet, where she chatted about wanting her BFF, Michelle Williams, to make a cameo on her sitcom.

“This is not a joke – we can give [co-creator] Bill Lawrence all the s— we want for it. At the beginning of the show, in the first season, I told him, ‘My friend Michelle Williams wants to guest star on the show.’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah.’ And they never did anything with it!” she told E! Online.

“And then she was nominated for her third Academy Award and they’re like, ‘Hey, maybe one of your friends would wanna … ?’” Busy added. “I said, ‘I told you season one that she would do it! You lost her now to the third Academy Award nomination.’”

As for what role Michelle would take on, “I want her to play my bookish sister who hates me,” Busy shared.

Neil Patrick Harris and his longtime love David Burtka attend a private reception for the Alan Cumming Snaps photo exhibit held at Andaz on Thursday (April 5) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 38-year-old actor and David took in the display featuring limited edition fine art photography by Alan Cumming.

Also at the private reception was Lance Bass.

It was recently announced that Neil will be hosting the 2012 Tony Awards! This will be Neil‘s third time as host of the theater awards show, held every June. He previously took the stage in 2009 and 2011.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his boyfriend Justin Mikita arrive at The Advocate’s 45th Anniversary held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (March 29) in Beverly Hills.

The 36-year-old Modern Family star and Justin were joined by David Burtka and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black at the Lexus-hosted bash.

Neil Patrick Harris and longtime love David Burtka suit up for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, held at the City of West Hollywood Park on Sunday (February 26) in West Hollywood, Calif.

David teamed up with E!’s Marc Malkin on Hollywood Boulevard earlier in the day. “The pre show was a blast. I wish I got to do more. Now we are on our way to the Elton John viewing party! Woohoo, what a fun day!” David wrote on his Twitter account.

Katy Perry looks gorgeous in her third outfit of the night while sitting with her BFF Rihanna at the 2012 Grammy Awards held at Staples Center on Sunday (February 12) in Los Angeles.
