Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz has taken to his blog again to list his “Top 9 Gripes of 2008″ as well as his “Top 9 Favorite Things of 2008″. Strangely enough, Brad Pitt’s latest movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, made both lists.

GRIPE: “This is a weird one because it’s definitely on my top list as well. I just think i over hyped this in my own head. This gets nowhere near the [F. Scott] Fitzgerald short story based on the Mark Twain quote I would have imagined in my high school brain. I hate how jumpy the movie is and I honestly don’t think there is much chemistry between Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. I also think it’s kind of a cop-out to push it forward some sixty years in my mind just to have it conclude with some relation to Hurricane Katrina.”

FAVORITE: “It’s weird that I put this on both lists but the truth is you can’t deny [Director David] Fincher’s eyes for film. Also, I give it to Brad Pitt for picking interesting roles. The idea of this narrative is mind-blowing and at times I fell for the story.” (TCCOBB is in theaters now.)

Another notable Top 9 Favorite of Pete’s: “Watching John Mayer doing Van Halen better than Van Halen in an amphitheater in Southern California. Shirts optional, solos mandatory.”

Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz take on hosting duties at the PUREfection New Year’s Eve party at PURE nightclub in Cesar’s Palace, Las Vegas on (Wednesday December 31).

1-month-old baby son Bronx Wentz sat this party out while his rock star parents counted down the seconds to midnight and celebrated the New Year with a kiss along with a club filled with partiers and guests such as Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

Wentz even described Mayer as a “guitarist (like that should be in all capitals) - just when you think you’re in the game with him he laps you - one of my go-to guys to learn about music or life - p.s. you dont want to think hes that funny in real life but he is even funnier.”

The first picture of 1-month-old Bronx Wentz has been posted on FOE by his parents Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. (They decided not to pimp their baby out to tabloids.)

Their e-card reads: “Happy Holidays to all of our friends! Love Pete, Ashlee and Bronx.

Ashlee Simpson, with her new blonde hair, is spotted shopping with a friend in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo will reportedly spend Christmas with Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, and their 1-month-old child, Bronx Mowgli Wentz. The whole Simpson family will get together in Texas for the holidays.

Earlier this week on Sirius’ “The Monday Mash Up” show, Pete Wentz admitted tasting Ashlee’s breast milk and described it as “weird” and “soury.”

Pete Wentz has taken to his blog to address rumors that he and wife Ashlee Simpson are selling tabloids the first pictures of their son Bronx Mowgli, 3 weeks.

In an entry titled, “Ring, ring, it’s the truth calling,” Pete writes, “About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.”

“We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, ‘There is a bounty on our heads’ for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. It’s scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity [sic] becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.

“In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now - and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.”

“Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday! I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx’s godfather Travis’ artshow. It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support. I hope you guys have a great holiday, I can’t wait to spend it with my new family. Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!
