Prince William Joins Prince Charles at Order of the Garter Parade!

Prince William rocks a traditional velvet robe and hat while arriving at the Order of The Garter Service & Parade held at Windsor Castle on Monday (June 18) in Windsor, England.

The 35-year-old Duke of Cambridge was joined by his father Prince Charles at the event, which celebrates the oldest and most senior order of knighthood in the U.K.

William was made a member of the order in 2008, two years before he got engaged to Kate Middleton. Kate, who is on maternity leave since giving birth to Prince Louis in April, was not at the annual event.

The Garter ceremonial dates from 1948, when formal installation was revived by King George VI for the first time since 1805.
