Kate Mara Reveals She's Crushing on Harry Styles!

Kate Mara steps out on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Transcendence on Thursday evening (April 10) at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Paul Bettany and Rebecca Hall.

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Kate revealed that she loves One Direction and has a crush on a specific member of the group.

“I mean, have you seen Harry Styles‘ face?” she said. “Listen, he’s young. I like all of them. I’m not just going to say Harry Styles.”

“Strangely enough, the only reason I’m even aware of One Direction is because [my boyfriend] Max Minghella and Dylan O’Brien, who’s sort of like a teen heartthrob himself, introduced me to their music. You’d think they’d not like it,” Kate added.

Rebecca Hall Covers 'Gotham' Magazine's Winter Issue 2014

Rebecca Hall graces the cover of Gotham magazine’s Winter Issue 2014, out on newsstands now!

Here’s what the 31-year-old English actress had to share with the mag:

On what she learned from her parents growing up: “Growing up, a sense of “don’t ever make compromises” was instilled in me; always maintain truth and stick to the integrity of the piece. Be bold— otherwise, what’s the point?”

On growing up around the theater, but movies being her own: “When I first started out, it was kind of exciting territory because it was the area where my family could not have a reaction entrenched with experience, and that was kind of refreshing for me. Instinctively, I knew it would be something that was mine. I always aspired to do movie acting. Movies, particularly black-and-white movies, were a big part of my growing up. My mom had a sort of Golden Age of Hollywood obsession. My heroes were film actresses like Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, Katharine Hepburn.”

On whether being directed by her father Peter Hall was intense or brought her closer to him: “I don’t know, we were always close, we always had a good relationship around work. He took me into plays and asked my opinions, and I was quite vocal about them. We had this sort of healthy banter. So working together was a no-brainer because it just felt like a natural extension of that part of our relationship.”
