Naya Rivera's Friends & Family Gather at Lake Piru in Heartbreaking Image

ABC7 Eyewitness News caught a heartbreaking moment featuring Naya Rivera‘s family and friends on site at Lake Piru in California just before it was announced that a body was found during the search for the missing Glee star.

It appeared as if Naya‘s loved ones gathered and stood hand-in-hand together, looking out on the large body of water where search and rescue divers are looking for the Glee star. She went missing on Wednesday (July 8) in the lake after going boating with her four-year-old son Josey. Josey told authorities that his mom never came back to the boat after swimming.

Fans think they identified Glee co-stars Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, and Jenna Ushkowitz as part of the group that were there to support during the search.

No further updates have been given by authorities and we are awaiting a press conference shortly. Naya‘s Glee co-stars have also been posting messages about her today after news that a body was found.

Our thoughts are with all of Naya Rivera‘s loved ones.

Amber Riley, Kevin McHale & More 'Glee' Stars Defend Why They Haven't Publicly Said Anything About Naya Rivera

Some Twitter aren’t happy that some Glee stars have chosen to keep quiet as the search remains for Naya Rivera, who went missing last week after a lake trip in California.

Now, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, and more have spoken out about why they chose to be silent while others have sent prayers and other comments about Naya.

“I haven’t seen not one of the GLEE CAST MEMBERS POST ABT NAYA EXCEPT FOR @HeatherMorrisTV AND @dotmariejones y’all a need to do better @LeaMichele @JennaUshkowitz @chriscolfer,” one Twitter user wrote, sparking the conversation of why they didn’t.

Amber was one of the first to clap back at her own reason – because it’s not about her. It’s about Naya.

“Show some respect. All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family. No one owes anyone online a performance of grief,” she wrote. “This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”

Fans also came to Chris Colfer‘s defense, who hadn’t posted anything about Naya’s disappearnce.

One wrote, “I just want to tell you that you don’t owe us anything, we love you and we’re here to support you and your friends who are going through so much pain right now, I’m sorry if there are people who have made you feel like you can’t grieve at peace, we love you ❤”

Years ago, Chris also opened up about how he personally mourned losing Cory Monteith, who passed away seven years ago tomorrow, and his statement is just as relevant right now.

Amber Riley Addresses Lea Michele Racism Allegations

Amber Riley is further addressing allegations made against Lea Michele by former co-stars.

Amber spoke out further in that same Instagram interview on Real Quick with Danielle Young about allegations of her co-star’s racism due to Samantha Ware calling her out for alleged on-set behavior.

“I’m not going to say that Lea Michele is racist. That’s not what I’m saying. That was the assumption because of what’s going on right now in the world and it happened toward a Black person,” Amber said.

“I’m not going to say that she’s racist. She’s also pregnant and I think that everyone needs to chill. Y’all dragged her for a couple of days. But at the same time, in my inbox there are a lot of Black actors and actresses telling me their stories and letting me know they have dealt with the same things on set, being terrorized by the white girls that are the leads of the show.”

During an Instagram Live, the 34-year-old actress, who played Mercedes in Glee, revealed that Lea actually reached out to her following Samantha Ware calling her out for her actions on the set.

It was the first time Amber and Lea talked in over two years.

“I don’t give a s***, [about this],” Amber said. “People are out here dying and being murdered by police…I wish her well, I hope she has an amazing pregnancy, I hope that she has grown…”

Right now, Amber wants everyone to focus on Black Lives Matter, and it’s what we should be doing.

Several of Lea‘s co-stars from Glee and Spring Awakening have also spoken out about the horrible treatment they received from the actress.

Amber Riley Is Sipping Her Tea Amid the Lea Michele Allegations

Amber Riley is seemingly reacting to the allegations being made against former Glee co-star Lea Michele.

Shortly after season six Glee actress Samantha Ware took to Twitter to make her claims about Lea, Amber posted some GIFs on her page.

Amber started by posting a GIF of herself raising her finger in the air to insert herself into the conversation. Next, she posted a GIF of herself sipping tea while rolling her eyes from side to side.

Amber ended her series of tweets by posting a GIF of herself saying, “Let’s move on.” She captioned that final tweet, “#DefundThePolice #prosecutekillercops #BlackLivesMatter.”

Lea‘s Rachel Berry and Amber‘s Mercedes Jones were in a feud many times throughout the series, with Mercedes often feeling pushed aside in the glee club in favor of Rachel.
