Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson are the proud parents of a daughter!

“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson,” the 31-year-old entertainer wrote on her website.

“We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!” the statement added.

The newborn weighed in at 9 lbs., 13 oz. Baby Maxwell reportedly got her middle name from her maternal grandmother, Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.

“I can’t wait for the day I can walk in heels again! My feet feel homesick!” Jess tweeted late last month. “I just woke up from a dream that I wore a leopard caftan in the hospital. Fabulous!! Now I need to find one!”

This is the first child for Jessica and Eric, who previously said they would tie the knot after the baby was born.

Earlier in the weekend, Jess and Eric attended the rehearsal dinner for the wedding of pals Bret Harrison and Lauren Zelman. Jess is a bridesmaid in their wedding party!

“She was a good sport about being a bridesmaid even though she is so pregnant,” a witness told Us Weekly. “It definitely wasn’t easy for her to get around and help the bride.”

FYI: Jessica is wearing a Camilla maxi dress.

The 31-year-old pregnant entertainer and fashionista was joined by her sis Ashlee Simpson with boyfriend Vincent Piazza.

Also in attendance at the rehearsal dinner was Adam Brody, Donald Faison and his fiancee CaCee Cobb.

There were over one hundred guests at the celebration that evening!

The 31-year-old entertainer and fashionista shared that her baby shower had a “Charlotte’s Web” theme and included fun fair activities and munchies like fried Oreos.

As for questions about her having twins, Jess said that wasn’t the case but that she apparently has a lot of amniotic fluid. “Whenever my water breaks, it will be like a fire hydrant!” she laughed.

“It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies,” a source told Us Weekly. “She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in pink gift wrap and boxes.”

“No, it’s not twins,” Jessica recently said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, adding that she’s “not quite” due just yet. “I know it looks like it.”

“Labor is really going to hurt. I have so much respect for my mom and all the women across the world,” she said.

As for the couple’s nuptials, “I want him to be my husband so bad,” Jess said of Eric. “I do still want to wear the pretty gown, so I have to wait. Now she’ll [the baby] just be in the wedding.”
