Hilarie Burton Debuts Baby Girl George Virginia, Shares the Struggles of Welcoming Their 'Miracle Baby'

Hilarie Burton introduced her newborn baby girl, George Virginia Morgan, on Instagram, along with a heartbreaking story of her and Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s struggle with fertility issues.

“It took a long time for Jeffrey and I to have this baby. The first time I got pregnant, it took a year and a half. I surprised him on Christmas with baby Seahawk booties. We cried. We celebrated. We picked out names. And we lost that baby. More losses followed, and as so many couples know, it was heartbreaking. It still is heartbreaking,” Hilarie posted in the heartbreaking message.

“And every morning of the five years it took us, I’d open my computer at the kitchen table and see the news and I’d grow bitter over the endless parade of celebrities showing off their bumps and babies. I’d weep out of jealousy for how easy it was for them. Didn’t they know something could go wrong? Didn’t they know that there were other women out there struggling? It pained me to see the corporate sponsored baby showers and magazine covers capitalizing on this human miracle that wasn’t happening for us,” Hilarie continued. “So when this pregnancy started, we were cautious. I didn’t want to celebrate for fear of jinxing it. I didn’t want a baby shower. I checked her heartbeat every day, up until the day she was born. And now that she is here, I just stare at her in wonder all day. I see her in her daddy’s arms and I don’t take any of it for granted. She screams bloody murder and I smile because she is so wildly alive.”

“So now that folks know she’s here, I don’t want her birth to cause any other woman to weep at her kitchen table. If anything, my wish is that she would restore hope for others. Fertility is a fickle thing. And for the other couples out there who have had dark days, we want to introduce our miracle baby to you and send you our love and support in finding yours, ” Hilarie concluded. “Please meet George Virginia Morgan. She was born February 16th. Her daddy delivered her. We love her very much.”

The couple are also parents to a son named Gus, who was born in 2010.

Hilarie Burton Details Alleged Sexual Abuse from 'One Tree Hill' Creator Mark Schwahn

Hilarie Burton has bravely come forward to elaborate on the abuse allegations against One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn.

If you don’t know, female cast and crew came forward to support the sexual misconduct claims against the creator of the show with an open letter.

Hilarie said one time, Schwahn invited her to listen in on a phone call with a CW exec in his limo.

“I’m leaning in listening, and when it’s Dawn Ostroff‘s turn to talk, he just leans over and starts kissing me,” Hilarie told Variety. “I push him off, but I can’t say anything because he’s on the phone fighting for our show to stay on the air. I’m just in this position where I’m thinking, ‘You’ve got to take it, Hil. Just laugh it off. You’ll get to Wilmington in 45 minutes.’”

Hilarie also detailed another incident at a party after they wrapped filming an episode in Texas.

“I’m at the bar waiting to get drinks for the hairdresser and me, and he leans over and he kisses me in front of everybody,” she said. “Right on the mouth. It was something I had to get out of. It wasn’t a peck. It wasn’t ‘Hey, sis, how’s your day?’ It was a boyfriend kiss.”

Hilarie also shared a story where she went to a concert with Schwahn and his wife, as well as her co-star Danneel Harris. At the concert, Schwahn put his hand down Hilarie‘s pants.
