Hollywood can become a bit of a guessing game at times.

Actors have to field a list of potential roles and decide which one seems the most promising. In doing so, they might end up missing out on a chance to star in a project that becomes a serious blockbuster.

We previously rounded up 12 actors who nearly passed on what would become their most iconic roles. However, there are even more actors who did say “no thanks” to appearing in solid-gold hits.

For instance, one A-lister opted out of starring in Avatar. In the process, they missed out on a $250 million payday! A pop icon had some regrets about passing on a chance to play Catwoman. One actress was even offered a chance to play Neo, a male role, in The Matrix!

You’ll be surprised to see who was offered a chance to star in movies such as Legally Blonde and Forrest Gump and who passed on roles within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Leonardo DiCaprio is spending a full day on set of his new movie.

The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actor chatted with director Paul Thomas Anderson as they prepared to film scenes for their upcoming mystery project on Thursday (February 29) in San Juan Bautista, Calif.

Also joining Leo on set were his two co-stars Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor.

Later in the night, Leo and Teyana, 33, were seen sharing a hug after they wrapped filming for the day.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor film an intense scene for their new movie.

Leo, 49, and Teyana, 33, held security guards at gunpoint while filming a robbery scene for their new project directed by Paul Thomas Anderson on Saturday (February 24) in Sacramento, Calif.

For their time on set, Leo stayed hidden in a black hat and face mask while Teyana sported a black and orange camouflage-print shirt with jeans.

We do not know too much about the movie just yet, but it will reportedly be set in modern time. It was described as secretive and expensive when Leo signed on in early 2024. An estimated budget for the movie is around $100 million.

Sean Penn and Regina Hall will also star in the movie.

If you missed it, Leo was recently spotted on a rare outing with his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti.

Leonardo DiCaprio is spending the day with his girlfriend.

The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actor tried to keep a low profile wearing a face mask as he and model Vittoria Ceretti ran a few errands together on Thursday afternoon (February 22) in West Hollywood, Calif.

For their outing, Leo tied his long hair back in a man bun under a baseball hat while wearing a gray T-shirt and olive-green pants as Vittoria, 25, sported a brown hoodie and black leggings.

If you didn’t know, the two have been linked since August 2023, when they were spotted on an ice cream date in Santa Barbara. They have since been seen together around the world, including at Fashion Week in Paris.

Leo has been rocking the longer hair for a while now as he works on his new mystery project from director Paul Thomas Anderson.
